our team is not ready for primetime. i really drank the koolaid after the ou win but the Buffs are just flat out not good enough to make mistakes and beat anyone good. it will get better next year but i think we'll be very, very lucky to get bowl eligible now.

isu and the fuskers should be wins. tech and mizzery are going to be incredibly challenging games. we've got no margin for error at all now. have to hope for the best and maybe we can limp into a lower bowl at 6-6.

damn. i really hoped we'd turned the corner. all these inexperienced players... we knew it would be frustrating.

GO BUFFS!

I think TT is a solid win for us. I know it's on the road. but TT is not a very good team. I see TT and ISU as wins with NU as a toss up.

TT has no D and they rely on a gimic offense. If you get in their heads early you will beat them easily just like MU did today.

As long as CU's defense continues to shine, I'm not worried gents. Its that horrid special teams and inconsistant offense that needs retooling. I know one thing, if our freshman QB continues to play like one, and our O-line continues to be so crappy on key plays, then we are in big trouble for the rest of the year.

And dont even get me started on the ole ****ing hands on our wideouts at times this year...

That was 3.5 hours of total and utter frustration! That game took about 10 years off of my life, my blood pressure is still through the roof, i am pacing around punching things and i want to jump out my window.

We will be very lucky to squeeze 2 wins out of our last 4, i think we can do it but it will not be easy.

Why did Hawkins go away from the runing game early in the 4th with good field position down 12? All throws and then a TO on downs on 4th down, there was no reason to go to the pass exclusively at that point, and what was with that fiasco at the end of the 1st half? A hair mary when we were well within the range of our kicker and there only being 5 secs on the clock.

Wow I am so pissed about this one. Kansas is NOT GOOD. **** **** ****!!!

I am there with you....ready to punch the wall....this game was there for the taking.

Agree the D looks good but the O is not there; work hard this year - next year will be better

That sums it up all too well! :bang:

KU will lose to A&M, OSU, and Mizzou.

they were a better TEAM than our Buffs, unfortunately. all the inexperience is very frustrating to watch. i actually think CU is physically more gifted than ku and i KNOW that, had CU got a stop in the early 3rd on defense that it would have been a different game. their d was really gassed before their o went on that long drive. force a 3 and out there and i bet CU scores and takes control. VERY frustrating game! their guys executed and showed a ton of heart.

I agree with most everything you say except this. KU is 7-0. They have beat everyone they played handily. They beat us today handily.

I would love to say we gave the game away as a CU fan. But the bottom line was in control for most of that game. I was saying this earlier in the week, everyone acts like this is the old KU, but they are doing what KSU did 25 years ago. Man Vagina has turned that program around by playing easy non-con schedule and they are going into the Big XII on a roll. KU is a good team and we didn't respect that as far as I am concerned this week. Everyone wanted to overlook their KSU win as a fluke. Today should have proved to everyone that it wasn't a fluke.

I am not saying they are the best undeafeated team in the country but they are are arguable the best team in the North until MU takes their shot at them. That will not be an easy game for MU.

Get aggressive, for god's sake. These quick outs are not going to cut it. Did Hawk/Helfrich try a bomb in the last 2 games?

yeah, there were some tough reads by our qb. i think he was really gunshy after all the picks last week. as a result, he'd didn't look for the deep route too often and when he did, he really forced it. i think c-hawk has a confidence issue right now.

Let's see, wins over Central Michigan, SE La, Toledo, Florida Int'l, and Baylor all at home. Throw in a semi-impressive win over KSU and a win over a very young CU team which is obviously a model of inconsistency.

KU is not that good. Somewhere in the 20's? Sure, but not #13 (and soon to be higher).

Tech does have a wild O but we are in Buttock and that will make it tough esp if they start running up points; they may be wearing on the D

They are undefeated and that is all that matters. They have not only beat all those teams, they beat them all rather impressively.

I am not saying I like their schedule, but you can't say they are not a good team when they haven't lost a game yet. They have been good enough to go undefeated. What more can you ask of a team.

We had what should have been two sure threes squelched. One on a gawdawful kick by Eb and the other on a gawdawful fumble by Hugh. Which, by the way, was not a fumble. His knee was clearly down. Not being allowed to challenge more than one play, even if you are vindicated, is total bull****.

Eberheart failed to take in account effect of the gravitational pull of Mangino on his field goals. Costly mistake.

Edit: Wow I almost have as many prepositions in that sentence as we had dropped passes. Almost.

It's sad that CU's offense couldn't do better than 14 points. The defense did their part holding KU below 20. I can understand a young team making mistakes. It just bugs me to see the same mistakes every week. Picks, bad snaps, dropped passes, and fumbles are becoming hallmarks of the CU offense.

On the bright side, the defense was tackeling better this week.
