BUT I AM ON MY WAY TO BOULDER!!!!

In 3 hours! WHAHOOO!

Here I come Sink, Ill be there at 11:30!

If you have a few minutes when your in The Sink and have a camera with you, go out the door to The Sink and go west on Pennsylvania Ave to just past the rear of The Sink. Across the street is a house (North Side) and second one from 12th street (1209 Penn.). Take a picture of it. My former roommate told me it is still there and just looks older. Unfortunately he does not have a camera. I would love to see what it looks like. I lived there all the time I was at CU. Just let me know how much you want for your time and effort. If it is going to be real expensive let me know before doing it please.

Have a super great time there.

Question about the Sink - I heard they turned it into a fern bar; used to be carved up picnic tables and cheap beer - a good place. Is it really yuppied out now or more correctly 10-15 years ago???

Oh yeah and whats a "fern bar"?

Blasphemer!!!!!

I love the Sink. I loved it when it was Herbie's Deli, too. Plus, I think it's the last bar left on the Hill after the PC crowd has taken over up there.

Nah theres the pit and K's which are both a lot of fun.

the guys who owned the place right after the conversion back were my landlords in college, total nuts...

I hate the low ceiling in the sink, I hate the lack of room in the sink. I prefer places like the Foundry and other bars on Pearl. And if you asked most CU students now, they would probably tell you the same thing.

"Whats the difference between God and a foundry bartender? God doesnt think hes a foundry bartender." Thats how we feel.

To each their own, I shouoldn't really be talking though, I quit drinking and haven't been to a bar in almost a year.
I just don't like the lack of space in the Sink.

Fair enough. I will say that I like bars that have some character to them like the Sink though.

I think the Sink is awesome. The low ceilings and bizarre art on the walls gives the place a very cool feel as far as I'm concerned. It's a connection to Old School Boulder. The Boulder of my youth and formative years. Yeah, it's dirty (actually had a dirt floor until sometime around 1970, or so I've been told), but that makes it cool.

All the tall, 6-3 and taller, people I know hate(d) the Sink which I can totally understand. I think the place has character and is a Boulder institution. The pizza and burgers at the Sink are pretty damn good as well.

ah the sink...i am okay but my friend went with me to a game last year and he is 6-7....he did not like it as much i think
