i can't believe that 4mm stupid cable customers in a couple of flyover states will get the game and us millions and millions of directv subs won't.

that is pure, unadulterated bull feces.

directv has always delivered the goods. i am pissed.

Yes, and just think about all of the incredibly entertaining CSU football action you've missed out on this season. Why oh why do they refuse to carry "The Mountain"??? Oh the humanity!

I AM pissed about the Mountain. MWC football is entertaining to watch, and this is the second year we have been Mountainless.:sad2:

In a weird twist of fate I was forced to give up my DTV account last week because their new HD dish was too large to be mounted in approved areas in our condo complex. Needless to say I was so disappointed that I could not use DTV to get HD channels. We had comcast installed this past saturday and the CU game is only being showed on some strange comcast channel.

rumor has it that fox told plati that directv would have the game on channel 619 as part of the sports package, but i just checked the directv website listings and didn't see it yet. stay tuned!

if true, i am SO SORRY i ever doubted you, oh directv!

My onscreen guide shows nothing but "To Be Announced" for that channel for the next week.... :huh:

fingers crossed. it could be a late-breaking thing. i got the info from the rivals site--- somone there pinged plati and plati responded to him that he just heard from fox on this.

I searched the Directv site and can't find it on there either. In fact when you hit a channel menu on the site, Channel 619 is not even listed.

I'm not going to worry yet.
 
On my DTV it lists 619 as "Regional Sports Alternate." However, I don't have Sportspack and it still doesn't tell me that I don't get the channel. So, I don't know what that means. All I do know is my brother has sports pack and a 55 inch TV. Woot.

When you click on the game, if you get one of those messages that says "To subscribe to this channel dial 1-800-555-5555" or whatever that message says, can you call that number and get the game, kind of like PPV?

I have the sports package and it shows "to be announced". I do not know but my guess is, when it gets close to game time, it will give you a number and tell you to ask for extension ## ( some number) The couple of times I did it, they did not know what you were talking about and asked what you wanted. Again, my guess is they will ask you if you want to be signed up for the sports package when they figure out it is part of the sports package if only for the one game.

All of this is obviously guessing on my part.

kinda like ppv, but i think the sports pack is only $12 a month.

It is finally paying for itself in this house. Although I get Altitude with it so that is all good too.

I think they give you a discount on every premium package you buy. So the first is $12, then the next is $10 and so on.

I could be wrong though. I never check the bill.
