Officially off the Hawk bandwagon and on the fence on whether he can actually turn this program around.. Ridiculous..

how bout the official don't whine like a bitch thread. Go **** yourself, they almost came from behind on the road, their young, beat up, WTF? There's no easy street wins in conference on the road, period!

Young teams make stupid mistakes no doubt, and this kind of loss is to be expected but I am miffed at the lack of heart this club showed after halftime.

Personally, I'm still very stoked on this club and its potential. If this kind of loss happened next year, maybe I'd be crying foul. But for now, its just a ****ty bump in the road. Beat Nebraska in two weeks and finish the season strong Buffs!

I'm officially tired of hearing how young this team is. We're 11 games into the season. They're not freshmen anymore. They just don't make plays.

Actually they are still freshman.

This is a very young team, this is a team that had 0 depth left over by a previous staff, we were missing 2 starters in the secondary today.

Lack of talent is an excuse IMO, but in this case, poor playcalling had a bit to do with it as well.

A failing effort today. I'm still stoked for this club

You are in complete denial and I question your football intelligence if you think this was some kind of moral victory or something..

21-0 on the road to a 2-8 FOOTBALL TEAM.. And Iowa State ain't frickin Texas..

This possibly might be the worse and most embarassing loss CU has ever had..

well if myour officially tired of hearing how young they are does that give them experience ,strength and depth? How many of our starters are beat to ****? Thius club is thin, it's why were melting away.

Bingo. There are no more free passes for the staff. We gave up a damn 21 point lead today. How the hell is that not coaching?

If you think this is the worse loss CU has ever had I don't question your football intel , I know your a ****ing idiot.

The plain and simple truth is that CU's total game effort was good enough to get into OT, and Iowa State's effort was good enough to get into OT. The difference here of course is that CU was given a loss for their efforts, whereas Iowa State was given a W. Absolute, irrefutable, complete, bull****. It's as simple as that.

You can talk about how CU didn't deserve to win because they gave up all of those points in the second half, but how is that argument any more valid than saying Iowa State deserved to lose because they gave up 21 unanswered in the first half? It's not.

**** those refs. I hope they pick up crippling VD from a public toilet.

Technically, yes, but 11 games into the season, they need to stop making freshman mistakes. No excuse for that.

Hey moron, do you remember 70-3?

now that was a ****ing post, If i knew how to give you some sort of a star or rep I would

They give them 5 years to play college for a reason, it takes longer than 11 games to develop physically and mentally to play consistently at this level. Otherwise, just give them 2-3 years of college eligibility.

That's why you get 5 years to play 4, because it's been proven throughout history that most freshman benefit from a redshirt year at least, we're having to force guys into playing who aren't ready because we have 0 depth.

Well, this reaction is certainly a surprise.

NOT.

the reason we lost is because ****ing hawkins decides to go for it on 4th and 1 with a 21 point lead, at midfield on the road ****ING STUPID, that play right there cost us the game

So you people citing lack of depth and talent and the youth think that ISU is a more talented team than us? I agree it is probably close but we are the better team and we got outplayed and yes, outcoached today. Now I am still on the Hawk bandwagon but for ****s sake quit being scared to criticize the man he did a horrible job today
1. going for it on 4th down on your own end of the field while up 21 points
2. Idk whose fault but drescher should have been ready to snap that ball right away
3. Wtf was that pass to devree? no first down and in bounds? that cost us the game

This team isnt progressing anymore, since the baylor game we have progressively gotten worse and or stayed the same (basically getting worse).

Hey moron, do you remember 70-3?

Hey moron, you remember 62-36.. Remember 10-9... Remember Rocket Left? Remember 39-37...

Or wait, those things don't matter anymore.. But let's throw that 70-3 score up there anytime we lose a frickin game... Frickin nonsense..

Nothing what happened two years ago, ten years, fifteen years ago, etc, etc had anything to do what happened today.. NOTHING..

how about the ref not starting the clock on the snap

Worst and most embarassing loss that CU has ever had? Please. I was in the stands for 70-3 Texas on a national stage, I was in the stands for 40-3 AT HOME to USC and Carson Palmer who had de-committed to CU just 4 years prior. 30-3 at home against Nebraska 2 years ago was pretty bad, as well. That's just in the last 6 years.

While I agree that there was some pretty bad coaching on display today, I think that we're still in the grace period with Hawkins. Don't forget that ISU is in a similar position to us with a talented young coach and a rebuilding effort. They'll sneak one in every once in a while, like our two wins last year. For the cupboard to have been COMPLETELY bare with the exception of Dizon, Wheatley, and Hypolite (to be honest, those are the only three holdovers from Barnett that would have even a ghost of a chance starting at a football factory like we want to be), I personally am OK with where we are now as a program, given we beat Nebraska in two weeks.

Like some other posters have said, I think that if this type of loss were to occur next year, I'd be furious, but right now we have to be patient. If you don't, I'd suggest that you look into rooting for Oklahoma, USC or LSU.

Nice first post, dickhole.

No problem since apparently you pay no attention to the big picture.

62-36, yeah I was there.

39-37, yeah I was there.

Ok, so if the past has nothing to do with todays game how is that relevant to the fact that you stated it was the worst loss this team has ever had? I responded in kind, with 70-3. I would say those two games are on COMPLETE other sides of the spectrum.

are you stupid??????

vince young and the national champions vs. a team that has won 2 ****ing games.

People dont seem to understand that though. Every loss under Hawkins theyll still say well its a lot better than 70-3. We must stop comparing **** to the past as it matters not, but if you really want to i can make quite a few cases why this loss is just as bad.

I'm still firmly on the Hawkins bandwagon. I like him. I am just tired of him getting a consistent free pass. He coached his 23rd game for CU today. He has been here nearly two full seasons now. If a team collapses like it today, the coaches need to take some heat. Pretty simple.
