Can Bohn seriously give Hawk an extension after a game like this?

Give Hawk an extension?

He was hired last season, why does he need an extension already? Uggh, this is one of the things I hate about college football, coaches' contract years come 4 or 5 years before their contract is actually up, it's so stupid.

No way he deserves an extension just yet. Maybe after next season, but not yet. This team is regressing. Call it bad coaching, call it a young team, call it whatever you like, but this team is not getting better. They're getting worse.

Way too soon to consider an extension...EXCEPT for the fact that Bohn and Hawkins are joined at the hip.

being as it was not a question at the beginning of the day, it is rather pedantic you are scraping the issue up.

now is as good of a time as any for the masses to chant, "JIMMY JUST LEAVE!"

you are a first rate ahole when we lose jims.

How can you say they are getting worse. I know im only a freshman at CU and you are probly much wiser than me, but I wouldnt consider 5-6 worse than 2-10.....I would like to know how you do math....

Has there been talk of an extension? I haven't heard anything.

I just don't think it is even on the radar when hawk is almost done with year 2.

From where they were 4-5 games ago to where they are now, they're not getting better. Yes, they're still a better team than last year, but they're not getting any better at this point in the season.

4-5 games ago they played Miami and Baylor. I will agree that Iowa State is not that great, but losing to Missouri and Kansas who both have a chance to play for the MNC is not terrible. Though the scores may not reflect this, we ARE moving in the right direction and getting better. Had they played the whole game the way the 1st half went, it would have been a blowout. We just need to be consistant with how well we play. I believe that will happen in the next year or so.

Agree - good points; but we all had hopes that the fubar games were largely behind us; just shows we have a ways to go

Agree. This thread is a waste of bandwidth.

Don't forget Jimmy's also a Mod:huh:

I haven't.

But I do trust Matt's commitment to free speech here. One of the benefits of that is that we aren't required to live in fear of disagreeing with a mod....

At least that's what I'm hoping... :smile2:

People have been disagreeing with Jimmy since I have been posting so I don't think anyone will get banned now.

If I get banned, I will just go to Netbu... er **** Island.

(Typing that just made me throw up in my mouth a little. :puke:

What possible rational basis could you use to say that? Buffs dominated Miami (as they should have) and then followed that up by beating a top 5 team and then went to Waco and beat up Baylor. To say they're a better team now than they were after that 3 game stretch is ridiculous. Since the Baylor game, CU is 1-4 and has gotten blown out in 2 of those losses and lost today to a 2-8 ISU team that they had on the ropes at halftime. That's not getting better, any way you cut it. They played OK against KU but should have won that game and definitely should have won today. Add in getting torched by KjSU and Mizzou and it's not pretty.

Look, I still believe Hawk is the right guy for CU and I still think he's going to do great things here. But this team just isn't better at this point in the season than they were 5 games ago. Hopefully they can pull one out vs. the holers in a couple of weeks and get a bowl game.
