Nu'umoto (formerly "NJ") Falo Confirmed - RS Junior OLB

Falo's absence was a big blow to the 2017 defense. He had really come on late in the 2016 season as a true sophomore. Can get after the QB and also play in space.

The 2017 defense lost Derek McCartnely to graduation at OLB, so this fills a major hole.

Welcome back, NJ!

Still no statement from CU, but the Denver Post has confirmed with Mike MacIntyre.

With Taylor at Buff and Falo at OLB, that's a ton more speed than we had with Moeller and McCartney.
A lot more size and speed, IMO. Callier coming in as a pass rush specialist on passing downs, you gotta like the depth there going into 2018.

24 tackles
2.5 for loss
1.5 sacks

Hmmmm...
And that was with him being a total knucklehead. Suspended the 1st 3 games. The fact he flashed and looked so good in the Stanford & UCLA wins at a time in his life when he wasn't taking things seriously and had too much of a 420 habit shows the potential. A lot like Worthington in this regard.

Good luck to the young man. It's not often you get third chances in life.

So to recap, in April of 2016 he committed a burglary, stealing over $1,000 worth of electronics and later took a plea deal. For that he not kicked off the team but was suspended for the 3 out-of-conference football games in 2016. This past summer, he failed a drug test after being afforded a 2nd chance. For that he was suspended for a year. Mac then commuted that "sentence" to six months. And now he's back.

Again, best of luck to him, but if this were any other school we'd be treating this situation a lot differently.

Nice post. What a bunch of sanctimonious bull****.

Third chances in life? Yea, he's fortunate to be back at CU. Both issues were stupid decisions, but nothing he shouldn't be able to come back from as long as he did what was asked of him (by the court, school & coaches). It appears he did those things.

The hypothetical is unnecessary and doesn't add any value to the conversation. If you're displeased then just say that and move on; otherwise, let the coaches and player worry about the rest.

Are you suggesting that he wouldn't have suspended or dismissed at another program?
