Saban looking at WVU?

If that were to happen, my love for college football will reach new heights. The look on the faces of those smug assholes from Tuscaloosa would be priceless.

I buy that Nick Saban's agent contacted WVU, but that doesn't mean he contacted them about Saban. He's also the agent for Terry Bowden.

I hope $aban uses WVU to get a contract extension and raise from the Bammers, just like RR used Bama to get a contract extension and raise from WVU last year....

Where the **** is BamaCharlie, this is awesome even if its completely made up.

If he is looking at WVU he'll have some major hurdles. One of the WVU insiders said their two starting DTs quit yesterday, Slaton told the AD he intends to go pro, Pat White is starting to reach out to some baseball scouts, and Noel Devine did hand in his transfer request.

WVU could have to replace their starting QB, top 2 RBs, starting FB, two starting WRs, all on offense.

Excellent...thank you Rich for ruining Mountaineer football right before we play them. Mwahahaha!

Quit? Their not playing in the bowl game? Are they Srs. or unhappy underclassmen looking to tfer? Boy, RR really screwed WVU didn't he?:wow:

It sounds like half the team might not show up for the Fiesta Bowl.

If all this is true Rodriguez would supplant Saban and Neuheisel as the sleaziest college football coach of all time.

one was a senior that could have gotten an extra year (he came in as a prop) and played next year, but he's going to try his shot at the nfl (reasonable chance). the other is a rs-freshman that will look to transfer.

All about the same to me. Now if WVU goes on probation in the next couple years because of stunts pulled by RR, then he's the winner.

Don't forget Petrino.

Mehhh. Its not that Petrino left or the way he did it. He was open about his unhappiness at Atlanta and the rumors go back as far as mid season for him to go back to the college game sometime this year. I think he lost the team and it was best for everyone.

It's Rodriguez's handling of this that makes him sleezy in my mind. Not being open about it and up front with the players. ****ty with them in the team meeting. Maybe or maybe not coaching the bowl game. Trying to snake his way out of the buyout by holding the bowl game over the Universities head. Sleezy.

the main difference, in my mind is that RR fvcked over his alma mater, his home state, his best friend (wv's guv), etc. petrino fvcked over an nfl team he had 0 ties too...

I view Petrino as more sleazy than Rodriguez. At least Rodriguez waited until the end of the year.

It's not like EVERY coach who leaves one program for another one is the biggest douchebag in the world. As has been pointed out, that's how we got Hawkins. And Bzdelik for that matter. And McConnell-Miller, too.

Saban is a complete control freak, and I think his stay at Alabama will be short. The powers that control Alabama aren't about to give him total control.
Also, he is a pure business man and has no loyalty to anyone - whatever is best for him determines his decisions. He doesn't give a rat's ass about Alabama - to him it's just another job. Notre Dame will be looking for a coach next year, and a few other big jobs will open up. Don't fool yourselves Bama fans, if he gets a better offer - he's a gone pecan!
I'm not saying Saban is a bad guy, it's just business.
Corporations are much more evil, Saban's an angel compared to the likes of Sprint.

Terry Bowden wants West Virginia job
The ex-Auburn coach hopes the Mountaineers select him to succeed Rich Rodriguez

Hell Tater Tot just wants to be relevant again. He's tired of watching Diddy and Bro' get all the attention. He's ready to go after some more co-eds again.

Saban is gone. He is going to take a $2M pay cut to live and coach in that paradise known as West Virginia.
