Your favorite CU game

Attended: 62-36; For those of you that did not attend, I can't describe the electricity we as students felt leading up to the game. It was incredible how the team matched the fans' intensity...and we snuck in so many kids through the gates - best sporting event I've ever been to.

Seen - Miracle in Michigan is a tie with the above.
 
My first game, A Thursday night v. Stanford in 1990 (Stanford snatched defeat from the jaws of victory), got me pretty fired up to be a Buff.

I'm also partial to 1991 versus Nebraska. It was cold. So cold. There was no attempt to remove any snow in the stadium, so predictably it got stomped on, icy and dangerous (the stairs were more like a luge run). I was in the stadium early enough to see that "**** Nebraska" had been imprinted in the snow in the west bleachers in giant letters. A great game that ended in a tie when we blocked the field goal in the final seconds. Earlier, Biekert returned a block extra point for two, which ended up being a critical event to the outcome.

I suspect I'm in the minority, but I like the tie game, and miss that possible outcome. It kept things interesting.
 
For some strange reason, the 19-19 tie with the Corn in Folsom is the favorite game I attended. Cold AF, though. Maybe it was Biekert rumbling a blocked XP back for a safety or Greg Thomas blocking the FG on the last play, but I loved that game.

My favorite watch/listen game was 2001 at KSU. I think Jashon broke his neck before the game and was out. I expected to lose badly, but the defense was nails and held the Kittens to 6 points. I was at a wedding and kept slipping away to catch up on the game.

I'd much rather have a tie than the OT system college has now.
 
39-37 over Texas for the Big 12 Championship was a great one, too. I was so wasted by the end of the game, I had to keep asking my friends what the score was as I couldn't read the scoreboard on the other side of the field.

Was also at that game, wearing about 6 layers to keep from freezing. My buddy comes down the stairs with beers, which we pounded. Bought more beer. At some point, we headed to the bathroom. Lots of fun getting rid of the beer with all those clothes on.

Also remember Garry Howe and his belly hanging out. Not sure how he didn’t get frostbite on it.
 
Yeah, 62-36 will always be a special game, but so will the Buffs come from behind game in Stinkin Lincoln when EB fumbled 4 times but managed to gut out the win!
Honorable mention: When Oklahoma brought their Sooner schooner to Folsom and tipped it over.
When Lynn Dickey & Kansas State came to Folsom, Chip and there mascot got into a brawl in front of what few fans they had towards the end of the game. Chip kicked ass.

I full on cried when jWebb got that 2 pt conversion to beat wazzu in 2012.
We weren’t going to go 0-12 lol.
Also got dusty standing on Folsom after the Utah win in 16.

I think Biekert is still running! Thought he would never make it into the end zone.

That 91 game against Nebraska was special. It was one of those ties that felt like a win. I was standing in the front row of the horseshoe (between the O and the L) with friends. What I remember most was just how freaking slow Biekert looked as he returned that blocked extra point. By the time he made it to the far end zone I was tired of cheering.

I think we went a got a beer when he started running, and were back in our seats as he crossed the goal line.
 
Attended - http://www.cuatthegame.com/1991/oklahoma-state-a-fake-field-goal-saves-buffs/ IIRC, Okie lite was on probation and my friends and I got in for like $5. Small crowd, so we were on the front row at about the 25 yard line. The ranked Buffs struggled all game and I thought I was going to have a coronary on that last second field goal attempt when I couldn't see the ball elevating towards the goal posts. Talk about sheer joy at seeing that fake field goal pass to the tight end for a touchdown. The Okie state coach said on local tv that night, "Gutsiest call I've ever seen!"

Seen - 62-36 has to be it, just for the warm feelings it still gives me. Although the Miracle at Michigan is a very close second.

I was thinking this too, for attended game. First time back in Boulder for me in 13 years. Beautiful night. Showing off Boulder to my wife, who had never been. High fives from Phil and Sefo before the game. Homecoming. Great win. Perfect.

***All due respect to 62-36, which is the best ever CU game.

that was a great one. Freshman OT Lee Hitman Hipp asked upon leaving the stadium, “where’s the extra bus for coach Mac and his balls?”
Might be the greatest postgame comment I’ve ever heard.
 
Any game that shuts CSU fans up for a year.

Then 62-36 and the miracle at Michigan. Since I’m so young the most fun I’ve had AT a game was the PAC 12 division championship we won. It was a fun game and was cool to see the fans storm the field.
