Just back from the game

CU had great representation at the game.

All the AllBuffs I meet were cool as could be.

I do not have my camera cord on the trip but will have pics when I get back.

Great game. You guys reading this from Colorado should have been here.

Congrats on the win Charlie. It was looking like the Buffs were just going to roll over for a while there, but luckily that did not happen. We both have young teams.

A random question-who's waiting in the wings once JPW graduates?

Wish I could have made it out to meet you all. After our bus broke down and delayed our arrival by a couple of hours ( basically turned into a tailgate party at a gas station), my group decided to just go to the buff pregame party. I had to stay with my group since I was so dang drunk by the time we arrived...probably would have gotten lost if I got separated...and they were buying drinks.

Was a fun game once we got things rolling.

We've got two redshirt freshman - Greg Macleroy, who was highly recruited and an early commit to Texas Tech and then switched to Bama, and Nick Fanuzzi signed by Saban earlier this year. There's a 5* commit named Star Jackson coming in in at National Signing Day in February who looks a lot like Tim Tebow on the field. Unfortunately JPW's just a junior, but like a lot of Bama fans I'm ready to see him gone or on the sideline.

I watch a lot of SEC football and have never thought much of JPW. Pressure him just a little bit and he gets rattled. He got the Buffs right back in the game last night and really should have had two INTs.

Gotta get my wee little ones to about 4 and finish the home addition then I'll buy season tix and start traveling a little.

Thanks for the good game Charlie! And thanks for sticking around.

I had one kick ass time yesterday.

The bus breaking down actually turned into a good thing. We all got out and got to really mingle and get hammered in the middle of texas at a gas station. If I recall a game of caps broke out in the parking lot. GOOD STUFF.

92Buff,

Hopefully I didn't scar your friends kid for life. I never made it back to party after going to will call. To much good tailgating going on in the streets. Didn't meet a bad Bama fan, and I had to keep working those LSU fans to got for CU.

MSBuff,

It was great meeting you and your son (THE ANSWER). Really glad you all were able to maek it out to the game.

Bama Charlie,
I was glad we got to hook up as well. Your wife is great and hopefully you didn't ruin your rep hanging out with a bunch a drunk CU fans.

LadyBlaise,
I am still trying to figue out where you all went. One minute you all were their and the next you were gone. Hopefully you all had a good time and the girls got to enjoy the swimming pool.

I know this. Anyone who didn't think Shreveport would be a great place for bowl game really needs to rethink that. They put on one hell of party. I didn't meet ONE bad fan the entire time I was their. I made a lot of friends that I will never meet again, but it was all good. I had bama fans offering me fried turkey and some wiskey and coke. Got some good Boudin and another Bama/LSU tailgate.

This was football tailgating the way it was meant to be. Everyone was having a great time and partying side by side regardless of what color shirt was being worn. I might just have to go back again just for the party, regardless of who is playing.

This was my third bowl game, and this was by FAR the best time I have had yet.

I got mine to age 7 (the kids, I mean)....and we went to the game. What a blast! Great game, great representation by the Buff faithful, great Bama fans. Only complaint was the traffic control and parking.

Had I know about the bus breaking down, I could have hauled a few of you to the game.....

Really great to meet and talk with you. Too bad there was not more time to get to know you.

I hope to make it to a game in Boulder next year. Hope I can again get to be with you and meet many more Allbuffs.

How do you play caps, anyway?

Everyone sits down with a cup of their alcohol of choice. Then you try to throw a beer cap into the cup of someone you want to drink.
I played that game in Boulder 25 years ago...good to see that things have not changed. We did not call it caps, though.....

Mmm. I meant that from the point of view that not have to spend $18k a year on daycare should free up some cash for football tickets. Also, not abandoning the wife with a toddler.

We have two Texans as backups, Greg McElroy and Nick Fanuzzi, however everybody is more excited about Star Jackson who is a 4 star recruit [verbally committed] from Florida.

She is great. Hanging out with drunk CU fans actually improved my rep.

 the girls did not want to miss the bands, so we meandered to the stadium. we were able to get them frogmarched to the pool that night, so all was well. it was a great time, and a fun game to be at.

lsu fans sure do know how to tailgate. they are also as innocuous as i thought they would be. they are into easygoing people.

if you want to hit up the indy bowl again, chilly, i know why. they really go out of their way to make a fun time that highlights both teams.

Had a blast. The breakdown was actually a highlight for me - always a great time tailgating in the middle of a gas station with a lot of great Buff fans.

You didn't scar that kid - he has been exposed to my antics for years at tailgates so there really is not much anyone can do to him now. Heck, he even had to put up with me during the game which I know was an interesting experience (in a good way of course).

LSU is a definite for me in 2011 - I absolutely love going to games against the SEC. Their fans are always awesome.
