Next year's gonna ROCK!!!!

Actually i'm a little scared of next year.. Who's gonna step up? I guess we'll see in the spring.. but we do Lose a LOT of Leadership. I mean we had Dizon, WHeatley, McBride Came through big. Lol. And who's gonna be our new kicker? haha. Actually i think that Nicholas and Hypolite may very well be the leaders of the team next year...!

I don't doubt it for a second. We're both on the rise and may meet again... but I hope not, I'd much rather play against someone I don't like. :wink2:

Jan. 2, 2009 - Nokia Sugar Bowl
Jan. 5, 2009 - Tostitos Fiesta Bowl
Jan. 8, 2009 - National Championship Game (Miami)

Any of these for next year will work.

I agree. I think we will be pretty good. Hopefully more consistant than last year. My prediction is a 6-7 win season. We are a very young team.

Agreed.. we are going to be JUST as young, if not younger on offense. With a VERY VERY VERY tough schedule.

@ Florida St, West Vagina, Texas, @ Kansas in 4 consecutive weeks. Then K-State (who will be better), @ Mizzou, @ aTm... Next year could honestly be a very tough year.

I'm with... '09

I think Cody tossed for over 3000 yards this year, which is more than the all-time record at Alabama, as a freshman. That kid may go for 4000 next year, with a couple of new receivers. Throw in a better running game, with Scott or Polk or Gates, and I think this offense will be much better than this years. That will take pressure off of a young D. Cody looked like Coy Detmer in that 2nd half. We always hear how fast and ferocious sec defenses are, and Cody shredded that one.

I think we are young on offense but gaining experience fast. Lots of talent returns, especially on the OL, and that spells consistency. Question is can Ellis replace Charles? If not, who will? Defense is definitely an area of concern. Replacing TWheat and Dizon will be tough.

After the first half I thought we were gonna get totally be owned. SEC football is tougher, faster, and more skilled than any other conference right now. I came away really impressed with our offense and defense in the 2nd half of the game. Take away one Alabama TD or but one more minute on the clock and we probably would have won it.

Agreed!

Isn't Ellis a senior?

Either way, the answer is no, Ellis can't replace Charles. I hope that Sumler, Lockridge, Scott, Gates, Polk or somebody can, though...

Agreed!

Assuming for the moment that Scott chooses CU, Ellis will be somewhere around 5th on the depth chart next year behind Scott, Gates, Polk and Lockridge. They may decide to redshirt Polk if Scott comes here. In any event, I think we'll see Byron Ellis on special teams.

Ellis wont even be #3 on the depth chart

:yeahthat:

Kinda sad that a senior is graduating without anyone realizing it.

Yep. He will be missed next year. There's a reason he was the third down back most of the year, pass protection. Someone is going to have to step up in his absence or there could be big trouble.

Ellis won't even be on the depth chart. According to CUBuffs.com, he was a senior this year.

if you had been at the CU/knu game this past November you would not have had to look that up. They introduced him and his family before the game...:wink2:

I was there

I know, it was a little tease towards Junc is all....

I can remember twheat (met his family) Dizon, Sprauge, charles, the qb that didnt play this year but was last years starter and thats about it of the 15?? seniors and families that were honored....

What happened to Moyd?

I do have to say, that if Scott comes, and Gates qualifies, man are we gonna be loaded at RB. Scott, Gates, Polk, Lockridge, man I get pumped thinking About that, it's gonna be like our 2001 RB situation, maybe better! Add that with a more experineced and talented O-line+ Smith, Simas, Celestine at WR. Oh man our offense has a bright future!:wow:

AMEN! Dude has been a STELLAR pass blocker. He has made a number of key blocks on TD passes, including one last night I think. Can't remember which one, but he picked up a blitzer that gave Cody time to sling one down the middle. He may not have run for a bunch of yards, but I bet Cody is grateful for his work this year.

Um Valdez did u not notice our OLINE is going to push people around? Less time on Filed for D will make them even more powerful.
