Time to get ready for the rammies

It could be ugly for the rammies next year. New QB, New coach. Then again the buffs lose some key players, but I do expect the buffs to be a better team next year, so right now I would have to say something like Buffs 38 Rammies 17

yeah.....this last second, OT, down to the wire BS has GOT to stop!

So what does CSU have coming back?

They're losing Hanie and Walker. I think their big TE got a medical redshirt, so he'll be back to terrorize our secondary again. :sad2: Kyle Bell? I can't remember if he was a senior this year or not. What do they have on defense? Our offense should be pretty damn good next year, especially if D Scott is here.

One other thing, more than half of CU's team will be Hawk's recruits next year, and we all know the talent upgrade that Hawk has brought in from day one. CSU meanwhile has about 4 years of their recruiting being ranked among the worst in D1 football. You are going to eventually see CU bully CSU around again just off of pure talent now. I know that we are CSU's "superbowl", but the buffs take this game more seriously now than they used to, and before too long it will be men amongst boys in the RMS. More than likely starting in '08.

I do think CSU loses a lot, most of their starters this year were seniors, thats why Joe Williams picked them to win 9 or 10 games.

Back to the way it should be!

I am of the opinion that the days of close games are gone for quite a bit of time versus CSU. Yes they do have a coaching change as an excuse. But when the Buffs made a change was that fact recognized by biased CSU fans? The actual reality is CSU is going to get outclassed talent wise for years to come by CU. they will sit on the Sonny would have done better excuse for years to come. They will not ever give props to the increased recruiting talent that seems to be coming to CU.

I pity Fairchild honestly and hope he does exceedingly well just so he can get out of CSU. He is in a total no win situation due to the fact CSU has recruited horribly the past couple years. If he pulls of a couple 8 win season in next 4 I hope he bolts. He will never be able to meet expectations of those delusional fan base.

CSU fans ? here is another cu word you seem to like to use in a detrimental way.

ExCUses are like aholes we all have one and now go ahead and mock the restore of order comments that your fan base has laughed at in the past.

I believe Marcus Houston petitioned and got another year so he will back to try again.

I expect CU to start showing some real separation. While it is true that rivalry games tend to be different I see the Buffs coming out strong. The final score could be pretty lopsided this year.

Gates, Scott, Polk, Lockridge in the backfield along with a more mature Hawkins (or big gun Ballenger if he beats out Hawk). My main fret right now is the defensive backfield but I still think there will be plenty enough for the spams.

Will that big TE be eligible?
I seem to recall some type of NCAA rule saying 1 player can only play the same team 4 times.

I seem to remember hearing that as well. Anyone?

You can only play against a team four times in your career. Unless, somehow, you play them more than once in a year. I think Syp missed two years of play in his six. He got a red shirt and then a med red.

Hey all, new poster here:

I think that the Rammies TE Sperry will have to sit out the first game since he played the first game from last season... thus to balance out he will have to sit out one game this upcoming season. Maybe it doesn't have to be the first...

Not sure if this is accurate, but that is what a CSU fan told me a few weeks back.

Sperry - right. I forgot his name. Although with the number of times the PA announcer said it last Sept 1 you'd think it would be permanenty ingraned in my memory.

If the rammies don't have Sperry, they're in trouble. New QB, new WR's and a patchwork O-Line ain't the way to go against Nicholas, Herrod, Obi and the Rabid Goldfish.
