I would say the backup quarterback position is wide ****ing open.
Where is the simple and quick passing game? Pop Pass, Jet Sweeps, Motion, Bubble Screens??? Why would you put him in Read situations?
I remember when folks on here were talking about how Montez would get beat out by Lytle or Noyer? It is not even close. I am hoping for school pride that Montez gets NFL talk, but at the same time I hope that he stays for his Senior season, mainly to beat Nebraska!!!

Probably Lytle or Stenstrom I would guess.
If noyer is this god awful, i guess the staff thinks very little of lytle.

Mac might be nice but this embarrassing. You should be able to vanilla beat NH with backups.
I never understood this approach. The goal when backups are in is to get them ready. This does not get them ready.
They are running the same run play over and over again. Its pretty comical

He's not going anywhere. He's the new Sefo Liufau. Tall, decent arm, growing into a leader, hopefully he'll have the heart of Liufau by his senior year.
MacIntyre has always been slow to be willing to use backup QBs even when things are in garbage time.
Noyer is his guy, he will be resistant to moving on. Pretty obvious though that he needs to.
Bright side, we have a better backup QB than Nebraska
Huh? Every QB on the roster is his guy.

Two completely different players.
I would expect the 2's and 3's to have practiced and had lots of reps on the top 10 plays that we run, the same 10 plays that Montez ran to start this game and the other games. Let the 2's come in and run those 10 plays to start!!!
Do not just run out the clock and not have the backup QB ready to throw a first down ball!!! What if Montez's helmet falls off and he needs to take a play off? Nice guys finish last and Mac is trying to prove that. Let the offense run normal coach!
He has his order. He doesn't like to move down the depth chart. It's like he doesn't trust the guys he hasn't already played a bunch.

Unfortunately I don't trust any AP voter to look deep enough at this game to see that it was 35-0 when they put the backups in. If it ends 38-14 CU won't get any style points whatsoever.

Well it's not a fair comparison, our backup QB doesn't have to wear a Nebraska jersey.

Backups are allowed to score points too. Happens all the time elsewhere.
