ASU Pregame Thread: 10/6 @ 2 PM MT on P12N

Hmmm, I think the opposite. Think it is going to be low-scoring.
I can see it going either way, but these boys know they can get it done at home against the conference. Hoping for a fired up O and a well prepped D for our first “complete” game of the season.

Buffs run defense better come to play or Benjamin will be big trouble. CU shouldn't have trouble scoring. Running game should do well, they have up 200+ to rob from osu.

This is a game where the Buff Backer spot is not needed as often as it has been used. I would prefer to use our standard outside linebackers more often against the Sundevils and as much as I like Taylor, it would be better to have him and Lewis alternate on one side, and then get guys like Tchangam or even play with 3 DE's to stop the run first, and try and use man to man on the outside. If we play them the same way we have played the other teams, then they will run the ball right down our throats and make it a tougher game. Elliott has showed good second half adjustments, but you could come into the game with a creative adjustment that the other team is not ready for, and this is the game for it.

Buffs need to be more consistent on both sides of the ball in the first half. ASU is going to want to possess with their running game and eat clock, scoring or not. If CU doen't get them off the field and move the ball it will be tough to win. Get O going early and get some quick stops on D and the Buffs should be in good shape.

I'm expecting a battle this Saturday. Too bad Herm Edwards doesn't wear that Britney Spears earpiece for opposing fans to mock.

If we play like we did in the second half of NU and UCLA, this game will be a 14+ win! Woot!!!

We need to play a clean game with limited mistakes. Herm definitely wants to slow the game down and limit our possessions.

I really like watching our buffs kick ass so far but the teams we’ve played are a combined 1-14. This has been brought up nationally. Against ASU it might not matter but against the better teams I’m worried.

Have to stop the run game and we need to run the ball well. I expect a big night from TMcMillian and KEvans and KD on the sweeps. Need to go at a faster pace on O and not let their D substitute.

We are going to need a huge day from our LB core. To me that is the what this game hinges on. If our LB group struggles in keeping things from breaking outside, I don't think we win this one.

I got really tired of the jet sweep for no gain. Stop running that damned play so much! Or use it as deception. UCLA was selling out to stop it. Fake the handoff and go the other way.

Sounds like Lynott will be out a bit - HCMM was really coy about that.
Frank is getting worked in now, sounds like that was always the plan.
Tchangam is in now because he's lost 20+ pounds.. apparently he lifted too much.
No set QB2
