So not only can I not find any recruiting that our new OC has done but he doesn’t have Twitter? Should relate well to these young kids .....

I'm not freaking out, you're freaking out. The rest of the hires had better be focused on recruiting.
Or what? You and your world class knowledge of college football coaching and recruiting will throw down the gauntlet and demand satisfaction? Anybody that is complaining about Els and Drake being retained may be missing a few brain cells. I get the CU past-player nepotism for Hagan but he has actually been pretty solid and should have a better product to sell to RB's under MT for recruiting (especially if the new OC is a run-first pistol guy). As for Chev, no one would argue that he should be calling plays or game planning. However, he really has been more than solid in bringing in first-rate WR talent out of Texas and California. That said, I am sure HCMT is very concerned about "impressing" all of us. ****, I think I may need another furlough from this site. I'm getting grouchy already. I would say no offense but actually offense is intended. ; )

4 coaches was more than I expected.

Probably the 4 I'd have kept if I was going to keep that many. (Hard to keep Roper unless you're gonna make him OC since most OCs are also QB coaches).

That still leaves 5 hires to make.

On defense: CB, S & OLB (with the DC handling 1 of those positions)
On offense: OL & TE

Johnson couldn't be involved with recruiting at UGA-didn't need twitter.
He’s only been at Georgia two seasons. Twitters been around longer than that. My biggest worry is I can’t find anything on his recruiting at prior stops to Georgia. Hope I’m wrong

How dare you question the evaluation of the head coach's evaluation of the staff's recruiting and / or coaching ability by random internet poster.

Hiring proven recruiters does not matter, right?

ST? SC?

That would really disappointing.
Disappointing that HCMT didn't bring in the UGA RB coach sure! but that wasn't realistic. Also, it's not realistic for HCMT to do a complete overhaul of the coaching staff when considering salaries, recruiting, and coaching in general.

I believe Hagan has been successful enough as an RB coach (Rodney Stewart, Hugh Charles, Lindsay, and McMillian) for HCMT to feel comfortable continuing with this positional coaching group and put efforts into others like Oline, Tight Ends, O Coordinator, D Coordinator.

Thanks for using the sarcasm font I have been pushing for. Like I have stated, I may be stunted at about the 7-8 year old developmental stage!

S&C isn't 1 of the 10 assistants. But Wilson looks like he's being retained.

ST was handled by Els this year (and 2017 even though I don't think he had it in his title that year). Not sure if he'll keep the job or not. I think he really improved our protections and I don't remember any problems with substitution penalties. So he's organized. Hard to fault him for anything with kicking & punting considering the injuries. Punt returns were an adventure, though.
