Pac-12 20 Game Conference Schedule APPROVED for 2020-21

Yes!

Non-con tourney for 3 games, CSU for #4, with a rotating D1 regional matchup for #5.

Add 2 feature games (1 home, 1 away).

That only leaves 3 games where it’s about getting wins without screwing up our SOS instead of the current 5.

Much more interesting schedule.

Hopefully the conference doesn't suck and bring down you net or rpi.

With the net now what is better, a win against say Northern Iowa at home or a loss to a top 10 team on a neutral court? If it's the latter one I hope Tad goes that route more often with the new format.

Replace CSU with a rotating MWC opponent and I'm on board-the less we have to play them in anything the better, and we get way more bang for our buck in terms of NET IMO with Wyoming or UNC

The other thing this means is that teams like Utah and WSU won't be able to be in the 300s for RPI/NET by the time conference play starts

Does this mean that fans of Pac12 schools will start complaining about how unfair it is that other conferences don't play 20 game conference schedules?

ACC and Big-10 already play 20 game schedules right? Big-12 can only play 18 games. Not sure about the SEC.

What’s CSU’s five year trailing NET?

Not that I think it truly matters, as there will be exceptions to this rule.

This is a good link on this story-it was written a week or so ago. They'd need to be Top 68 (they were 232nd last year) in the RPI to get to play us at home in 21-22....basically an NIT caliber team.

I disagree with Not Sure here-no exceptions. Our league needs to toughen it up as a whole with the way we schedule. We're part of the problem, here-we play AFA (who has been relevant for four years 15 years ago? and that's been it) every year. We also play these clowns (who are trash in MBB right now) every year. No exceptions. I'm tired of accomodating little brother in football and MBB. If we want a good team from this area, Tad should call New Mexico State. If Air Force and CSU continue to suck, we shouldn't waste our time with them. Doesn't matter how easy it is. We have 10 OOC games now, and we need to use them in a way that best positions us to make the NCAA tournament every year. We're better off replacing them with a series with Nebraska (they'd draw in B-ball too and they hired Fred Hoiberg), Creighton, Wichita State, or pretty much any Big 12 team.
