If the Florida and Georgia offers in addition to the Miami offer were legit then he was clearly seen as a P5 level prospect.

Don't know why it didn't work at Miami but Tucker knows him and didn't hesitate..

Excited to have him, and I love our Southeast recruiting connection.

Same HS as Kevin Moyd?

Coaching change? Tucker was clearly on this kid before he took this job-all for bringing this young man in and looking forward to watching him in 2020.

A few quick notes from what I'd read today.

Bethel was mostly a WR in high school, so CB had a learning curve for him.

Miami had brought in some reinforcements from JUCO as well as landing a very highly rated CB recruit this offseason.

Looked like Bethel was going to be no better than 4th on the CB depth chart as a RS-Freshman this year, but may have been getting pushed by some younger players and 6th was a possibility. He was definitely expected to play, though.

Miami also had Bethel in the mix as a return guy, which isn't a surprise considering his speed and WR ball skills.

He was commended for putting the work in by adding 15 lbs of muscle from when he showed up as a true freshman to this year's camp.

Possibility he runs track here too?
Much harder to do now with spring football back to the normal way of doing things instead of being the first part of the semester. That said, I am sure that he and some of our other guys could step right onto the track for a meet and upgrade at least our relay teams.
