Official Buffs @ Oregon Game Thread

We are winning next week. Good Montez shows up. And then we catch USC at home in a crazy Friday night in Folsom. Then we beat UCLA and Stanford. Lose to UW & Utah.

I think I finally caught a buzz and just want to focus on something else....

I understand the situation on defense, performance is understandable....offense? 3 points, with our weapons?

Sure I agree our circumstances are poor. But it's clearly not working
There isn’t an alternative. Is your suggestion that we just put out guys like Noyer and ask them to tackle in the run game and cover? We already had a serious depth deficit on the back end of our defense. It is decimated. We don’t have the players.

There’s no one else. We don’t have enough players who can both tackle in the run game and cover intermediate routes.
And our corner play is so weak that the safeties have to vacate the middle immediately going to help on the outside.

Re-watch the play and tell me he wasn't double covered.

He was double covered, he was also open. The window was there and Montez hit the window. Brady simply failed to secure the football on what should have been a Buff's TD.

When a ball is in a receivers hands he has to catch it. It was a tough throw, it wasn't a prayer.

If he had not thrown the ball or thrown it away you and the other Montez haters would be blaming him for not finding a receiver and only getting a FG try.

When you are down 14 on the road to a clearly superior team you have to take some chances. That TO is entirely on Russell.
When have I ever been a Montez hater? Don't put words in my mouth. I said Russell was double covered and he threw up a prayer. Both are true.
