Don’t lose faith

I’m proud to be a Buff and I still have all the faith in the world in Tucker, this staff and this team.
As much as we wanted to believe Tucker would turn this team around overnight, deep down we knew this would be a challenging roller coaster season. We have seen some highs and lows this season. We could easily be a 5-2 team right now if just a couple plays went differently. All off season predictions had us winning a total of 3-5 games, yet still believed Tucker was one of the best hires in college football.
We have been hit hard by the injury bug in a team that already had depth issues. Most successful seasons you have to get lucky with injuries.
I believe the attrition we are seeing now is normal and we will lose some more guys as well. That opens more doors for Tucker to get more of “his” guys. Recruiting is going good and has a chance to get real good down the homestretch to the first signing day.
Let’s all take a deep breath and give this staff a chance. I still believe we can get bowl eligible this season if we can pull off the Friday night upset of the Trojans. Remember just a few weeks ago we went in and did something no other Colorado team had done before, win in Tempe, against a good Sun Devil team.
We even had a chance to be down a touchdown at the half to Oregon. This team is learning and they are getting healthy again. We are going to see some more lows, but I think we see some more highs this season as well.
I get the frustration, I really do. I’ve been down this road with all of you and I get why you might want to panic again. I’m sick and tired of losing just like everybody else, but we need to support this team and staff. Let’s come out to Folsom on Friday night and be loud, proud and support our Buffs!
Go Buffs!!!

Thanks for the pep talk. This is tough. Been riding this coaster over 30 years and have had some really sweet moments and am hungry for more.

I'm not losing faith. I thought they were a 4 to six win team. I have been frustrated, but still love my buffs. This will take some time, and i look forward to the attrition. Aren't many guys on this roster they can't lose.

This year's results on the field only prove that MT is not a miracle worker. Same players - same results. No surprise. Lookng at the schedule at the start of the year, my guess was a four win season, but I will admit that after the ASU game I had some false hope that we would do better. The first measurable data point for MT will be the upcoming recruiting class. If there is little to no improvement compared to the past few years, then do not expect things to get better. Getting Rice was good to see. I have no idea if the kid will ever pan out, but that is not the point. The point is it shows MT can win a recruiting battle.

Haven't lost faith, and will always make sure I'm watching or at any game this team plays, but I'm in show-me mode now. Was pumped about the early season results, but the last two games have been flat ugly. The wazzu performance was Embree-esque.

Haven't lost faith but until this program can win six effing measly games, I expect nothing and no longer get angry after losses. How many times over the lady 14 years has this team started off well or needed 1 win to get six and a bowl and pissed it away?

Loyalty is nice, but MT needs to cut ties with dead weight if this program is to become respectable again.

I'll always have a very deep love and gratitude for the University of Colorado at Boulder, and will always be a Buff! No matter what.

If MT builds it, they will come.

Winning six games is really hard to do. He needs a full five years.

do you think it was possible in his first year?

honestly next year and the one after should have bowl game expectations. If we had just a a few more playmakers wewould have won against Arizona and Air Force. His recruiting this year is what’s important. I’m not sure how much he could have changed lastyears class with the early signing periods now a days.

Seriously, winning 6 games involves scheduling and beating 3 directional teams then winning 3 of 9 conference games. The fact that we’ve won 6 games only once in 8 years of PAC 12 is a sad commentary.

Don’t tell me how to feel... :)

I like what I have seen from Tucker. Not so much the DC, but I think we have the right HC. Class act who will set a standard.

Year 2 will be telling. The SEC S&C program should pay dividends even if the talent isn't immediately upgraded.

His decision to play for OT against AFA was absolute garbage. The Arizona loss was on offensive ineptitude on a game winning drive, mostly by our 5th year senior QB. Both games should have been wins. If you want to even one of those with the Nebraska win, that’s fine, but they should at very worst be 4-3 right now.

TuckerNuts has been anything but impressive so far. Especially recruiting.

Going for FG's versus WSU was chicken****.

Every year for the last 15 someone says the S & C will really kick in next year and then we'll improve.

On the bright side, with our situation at both QB and S, Noyer could become the first 2 way superstar since Deion and before that Bronko Nagurski.

Duff, I fully agree... and just so we’re clear, I have not lost any faith in Coach Tucker and his ability to right this ship. The good thing is that we are not some (most of us) diluted fanbase drinking the Jimmy Jones cocktails. In the end, I believe in coach and this system. Time is on our side and the pendulum should be swinging back our way soon enough.

let’s start tonight!... F¥ck usc!
