CU’s decade in numbers

Those numbers look better if we only look at the last five years (2016 helps a lot), but yeah - brutal. That’s what happens when your administration decides football isn’t important.

80 losses
44 wins
15 players drafted
8 wins against CSU
4 coaches
2 conferences competed in
2 wins v ****braska
1 division title
.800 winning percentage v CSU
.666 winning percentage v ****braska
0 bowl wins

CSU is really bad...

I believe this may be first decade in CU history that we have never won a conference championship? Is that correct?

That really puts things into perspective... sometimes it doesn't feel like we've fallen as far as some other programs, but i think that's because I don't think I quite realized how high we actually fell from.

Yuck. I'm not sure I need that brought to my attention. I hope this is the last one we see like this.......ever.

It's happened before, but it was a long ass time ago. And that decade drought was bad timing if I remember correctly (won late in the previous decade and early in the next).

This has easily been the worst 18 year run the school's history.

I believe that CU will turn it around. I do not accept that Utah has a higher ceiling for athletic success than we do.

Utah does not have a higher ceiling than we do. That doesn't mean that Utah can't be better than us on a year to year basis though.

To be honest, Utah probably is in the lower half of the conference in terms of their full potential. Hell, maybe bottom third. But they are playing much more to their full potential than say, USC or us.

in our worst decade of football... we still have a division title and ****ed up CSU and Nebraska..

That's pretty neat.

When I first moved here (Utah), I was stunned by the quality of athletes. There are probably a complete NFL O and D Line graduating high school every year. The Poly population here is a game changer and Whitt is all over that. They had a kids transfer elsewhere for playing time getting drafted.

It's been a ****ty couple of decades -- in twenty years we have ONE bowl win to go with a lifetime's worth of embarrassing coaches and heartache.

It actually speaks to my lack of intelligence that I continue to be cautiously optimistic about this team which has done absolutely nothing to deserve it.
