A big reason I'm not ok with that being targeting (and especially with the guy getting kicked out) is that if he hadn't dipped his head he would have ended up hitting the receiver in the head. It was just a football play. Nothing dangerous happened and there was clearly no intent to headhunt a guy - just the opposite.

LOL, I thought that flag was late. Then the replay showed the flag in the air before the int. Back judge must of launched the flag 30 yards in the air, it just took that long to hit the ground.

But he could’ve maybe slid his head to the side or had his head up.

You're way too used to watching football on tv in slow motion replay. All of us are guilty of that to an extent. Split second decision to choose going for separating the receiver from the ball instead of going for the kill shot. I commend him for how he tackled that play.

LSU is just teeing off. Beating Clemson's offense to the punch nearly every play.

this has been a way better game than i thought it would be. i thought lsu would have their way with clemson, but they have been scrappy.

Just playing Devil’s advocate. What you are saying is true.

He launched with the crown of the helmet. Whether ok or not, that was the letter of the rule for what he did. That won't change, ever, unfortunately.

Lot of football left in this one, but it sure feels like LSU has asserted its will and is about to step on Clemson's throat.

Maybe not. But in cases like that, it's protecting the safety of the defensive player if he's dipping his head into a body shot. That's how necks get broken. Weird to kick a guy out of a game for that, which is what really needs to change.
