the color red

You're kidding right? If not,Coach MAC made nu our rival and didn't want ANYONE wearing red during nebraska week.

I don't care for red in the first place, add to the fact the silo children wear it makes it even easier to despise.

:yeahthat: We dont wear much red in my household.

I have one, count em one red tshirt that I got in Georgia at a bar after the Buffs game. It has CU on it, but I never wear it.

There is no red in my house, my dad allows no red in our house and anything close to the color red raises a flag in our house.

Not to mention that the Chiefs also wear this awful color. I'm just relieved that my son won't be going to NC State.

I have several red shirts and a red jacket. I don't see the big deal. Afterall those pussies who claim to be 'the big read machine' usually wear white.

I like this red...

I have a couple University of South Dakota shirts that are red because my cousins go there. I have no problem wearing them.

red is dramatic for dancing. still, after an initial incorporation of it as an accent color, i systematically rid myself of it in my dance wardrobe.

ditto for my everyday wear. the only survivors are ou gear to be worn when i am in the frame of mind to make my husband smile.

no red clothes in my wardrobe. Coach Mac banned it from campus when i was there. good enough for him, good enough for me.

better dead than red.

deal with it.

It's funny that in the five years that I was at CU i never heard anything about banning of red clothes.

"Come gather round people wherever you roam..."

when were you there?

it was an early Coach Mac thing and it stuck with a lot of us from that era.

I have to problem with red around my house. However, there is none as I have not found any red toilet paper for my bathrooms yet.:wink2:

My FIL has a Huskers doormat in front of his shop, and if your shoes are not dirty, youa re instructed to go find some dirt to get on them so you can sipe it off in the Fusker mat.:smile2:

BTW Sacky, thanks for the mention in an earlier thread; I started my iTunes and am listening to 'Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits 1974-78'. Next up, Boston!

I tried to ban red from our house, then I saw how ****ing great GBL looks in it. :smile2:

true? LOL:lol:

I have purged red from our household with the exceptions of anything that says "USA" or for accent colors (although mom still screws up and buys my daughter skirts/dresses occasionally)

I coach my daughter's soccer team and they have red/white reversible shirts. When we have to wear red she has asked me if I will still root for them even though they are wearing red. On the positive side, at least she understands that it applies to sports.

Nothing good is ever red.

My high school arch rival's colors were Red, white and black.
My college arch rival's colors are red and white.
Detroit deadwings
Red lights
Red blood - if you're seeing it you're cut and bleeding
Red on a balance sheet - losing money
Red sea - the dribble between the ball sack and anus of the world
Red roses - she's got you now and it's only a matter of time before she takes half.
Red line on an engine gage - your engine is about to blow up
Red dirt - never washes out
Red states (means you're a republican and you will lose this election)
Red giant stars - means it is preparing to die

Better anything than red.

Sooner red is different and easily distinguishable from the red that must not be named. It is more maroon which was my high school color. However, noone in my household wears the red that must not be named. It really is more of a communist red if you think about it.

My frosh year I watched Coach Mac chase a rather hot cross country runner out of the weightroom for wearing red spandex running pants. Somehow the cross country coach didn't mention to her what was forbidden during Nebraska week. She was bitter to Mac after that.

Did you chase her out too? :smile2:

I've got the phrase "Better Dead Than Red" plastered in 2" letters across the back of my truck. Those who are buff fans understand it. I've had people who don't know any better ask why I hate communism so much.
