Karl Dorrell officially named Colorado HC

This is why I ****ing hate this guy, he’s such a douche bag. He thinks he has all these sources and is some big shot and he runs his mouth like he’s a know it all. He always has the dumbest takes, he argued with me one day over text that CU students sucked because they were at parties during the Nebraska game. He was insinuating they had no school pride and didn’t give a **** about the school. When they physically could not be at the game due to the fact there were no seats for them.

He’s like the Mark Schlereth of 92.5 without any of the credibility, knowledge or sources.

This reminds me of the day of the Cu/CSU basketball game years back. Butch Jones was rumored to be announced at half time and it never fell through. I think at about halftime it came out he was going to wait for the Tennessee job instead. Hopefully something similar doesn’t happen. I remember walking around Coors yelling “Butch please!”

I personally think Vic likes to troll Buff fans. As someone mentioned above, he'd rather create controversy to talk about then anything, especially because thats the only type of Buffs news that gets Denver medias attention. No better story for him to tell than "Calhoun turned down the buffs." Thats also how he is setting it up this morning. Not that Calhoun is gonna get the job, but that Calhoun was plan A and Sark plan B. Then if it's Sark he can still claim to be right and throw shade at CU for not being able to lure away a guy from an MWC school.

Personally, I really hope its Sark. Im honestly not sure I would renew my tickets for Calhoun, that just seems like HWSNBN light (as if the first round of that wasnt light enough on wins.)

He can just blame it on his source. But the whole station 92.5 is on board with Calhoun, not just him.
Moser was going on about how TC will "keep the Colorado kids home" and "lock down the borders" without mentioning that even if TC was able to do that, we would still need 15-20 recruits every year to fill out our class.

Seems like his credibility is at stake.
Only if you think he’s outright lying instead of just misinformed. If we hire someone other than Calhoun he’ll stick to his sources and claim Calhoun couldn’t work out a deal with CU and we moved on.

I'll give Schlereth this-he knows where his strengths are a talking head and does a pretty good job of sticking with them. College football isn't one of them, and he freely admits that. I agree with most, if not everything he says on the Broncos though because he's a damn good NFL guy and the best in the market IMO on that subject.

These takes on Lombardi and his tweet last night go back to what I said last night. We've had four of these since Calhoun took over from DeBerry at AFA after the 2006 season (Embree, MacIntyre, Melvin, and now this one). Lombardi, a host on 104.3 (Sandy Clough has a couple of times because of the relationship he's got with TC), or some other member of the Denver sports media has brought up TC's name in every single one of these. They all know him and like him, which gives them an agenda. Thus, I'm waiting for Adam, Brian, or somebody else who covers CU or the sport for a living to come and say TC is the guy if that's the case. The Denver sports media does not have any credibility on this topic because they drive the bus for Calhoun during any CU football coach search.

He is not very bright about anything CU

It is an opinion that I vehemently disagree with, but not sure how it destroys his credibility.

How about today's gem from Vic - we need to hire Calhoun because he knows all the coaches in the state, could really lockdown CO and make sure the best talent stays home.

I'm pretty sure Vic just really likes to rile up people who take things way too personally. He's a local guy who really cares about local teams, and sometimes to a fault, cares about local personalities. He's wrong sometimes, but he's not a hot take machine. He's way better than any of the Bronco shills, but he also doesn't really have any deep source connections at CU. I know this is an impossible ask, but some people around here really need to chill out.

If the offer did in fact "go out" yesterday afternoon, it is crazy to think that Calhoun would be negotiating this long.

But if someone on here said it you'd jump their ass in a heartbeat.

I think it is a really dumb opinion, but looking at his career in its totality, I do not see understand how he is suddenly a know nothing shock jock. It does not add up.

Vic Lombardi isn't a bad guy or a bad media personality. He is generally positive and good natured. The simple problem is that he isn't well plugged in at CU and he doesn't know much about college football, so when he has to delve into CU stuff or college football, he gets out of his depth. He isn't a shock jock.

Brett Kane, their 3rd partner on the morning show, is MUCH MUCH better aligned with college football, and he tries to keep Moser and Lombardi on the reservation

Vic did say he was not following the story but reached out to someone after he was getting blown up on twitter for info.
Who knows who he reached out to? So he is really no in the loop of information

So he doesn't really follow CU, and reaches out ot someone only after getting blown up and is able to get scoop that guys who follow CU everyday do not have? OK.
