Why are you drinking that shiznit when you live in the beer capitol of the world??????
I live in Brussels, and the folks here would certainly disagree with your assessment of the World's beer capital. I'm a big fan of Fat Tire (New Belgium brewery, not by coincidence), and when I live in the states, I keep a keg on tap at all times (or Red Hook last year, because I couldn't get Fat Tire in Newport, RI) BUT there's some pretty serious beer in these parts. A lot of it is made my monks.
To each his own, but I most certainly would not be drinking st. pauli girl when a myriad of lambics were just outside my door.

Don't like Pilsner. It's lager & stout for me.
Umm... Pilsner is a lager.

Belgian beer is disgusting. Sorry. But they mess around with it too much. German and English beer are far, far better.

St. Pauli Girl is German, whats all the fuss??
And the most popular beers in the UK are either originally (don´t ask me who owns what brewery right now) Irish (Guinness), American (Bud), Australian (Foster´s) or Belgian (Stella) ... go figure.
The foreign beers are brewed under a licence in the UK tho, but English beer is crap and they don´t even drink it themselves. Carling and Strongbow (Cider) are the only British beers who I think are readily available on tap in most UK pubs.
Tennent´s is fine, but it´s Scottish and usually only available North of the border.
I enjoy Newcastle, Watneys and Bass. Aussies won't drink Fosters, so I guess that tells you something. I have to be in the right mood to drink Guinness. It's not a warm-weather beer.
I can't remember which beers were on tap when I was in England. I know I was shocked to see Budweiser in most pubs.
Don't be hating on English beer. It's usually pretty good, IMO. Beer snob.
