What did you like?

I thought the QB's looked good. Nice to have some quality and quantity. I think Cody is the guy though.

Running Backs. Sumler and Moyd both looked very good.

Kick Returners - ran full speed up field with the kickoffs for the first time in a long time.

Two words: Punt Block. Hope it's more about our scheme on D rather than our lack of scheme on O.

Tight End - I thought Devenny looked good.

Most important - no major injuries

Beatty was gettin all over the backfield on defense...that kid is going to turn some heads in the fall...

Kai is a freakin monster in the offensive backfield too... i would like to see those two go up against each other...

i thought the qb rotation looked good. cody is definitely the starter and team leader, but the no huddle is coming together and there were not many delays getting plays in...

and of course there is...the rabid goldfish...

Beatty has taken the weight room seriously. The guy was a stick last year.

Rep to both of you for having the stones to actually post something in the "glass half full" thread. It shouldn't have surprised me that the "glass half empty" thread was the more popular thread (and there were some positive observations in there), but I was hoping for a more even distribution.

Besides, as my engineering prof once said, "the glass is not half full, it's not half empty...it's twice as big as it nees to be!"

The O-line is going to be good. They are huge upfront. No wonder why we went to the shotgun, there is no way Cody can see over those trees.

Nate Solder is going to be a top 15 pick in the NFL draft barring injury. 6`8 287 with 6 percent body fat. He will get over 300 lbs by the start of the season. NFL scouts will be going nuts over this guy.

The WR's look much improved. Josh Smith is going to a special player for the buffs

I'm looking forward to a very balanced offensive attack. I like the running game that I saw on Saturday. I think D Scott is going to have an incredible stay at CU.

Also... we won!! woot woot! I think that makes us 1-0 for the season! yeah baby! :smile2:

I will echo what others have said about Beatty. He was everywhere (as was Burton). Also, I was just pleased with the overall size and speed of the team on the field. We have come a long way in the last three years. Our offensive line looks massive.

I am very hapy with what we have seen in spring. This team is moving in the right direction and the positive vibe is overwhelming. This is a place kids want to be. I feel like it is '88 all over again with nothing but upside.

Happy we have heart and effort in the backfield, an unbelievable conpetitive spirit at quarterback, a line that can challenge anyone in the NCAA, and an exciting receiving coprp that will only get better.

The defense will surpeise us in the fall with newcomers like Beatty who will bust 'em up, a DE corp that will step up and an interior line that has proven to be as good as they come. Defensive backs will come through for us...I know they will.

Kyle Ringo has a great video clip over on buffzone.com where he is standing between Solder and Miller. Ringo looks like a dwarf next to those two.

Some free content from yahoo/rivals. Warning - according to this site, we have a new tight end.

spring ball evals
Ya, a new tight end with 20 tackles!

4. Marcus Burton - Junior Tight EndWhy? Burton dolled out more punishing hits than any other CU defender this spring. He led the way in the final two spring scrimmages with 20 tackles. Burton has put himself in good position to start at the Will 'backer position if he maintains good standing in the classroom.
