The North drafted better than the South on day 1 and at large.
On Day 1, Colorado was second only to KU. At draft end, CU is middle of the pack in # of players taken. Too bad neither Hugh nor Tyler made the cut; good luck in free agency. Nebraska got 3 in, excluding Purify. Here's the body count:

15 - North. Round 1 (1). Round 2 (3). Round 4 (4). Round 5 (3). Round 6 (3) Round 7 (1)
2 - Colorado. Round 2 (2)
2 - ISU. Round 5 (1) Round 6 (1)
4 - KU. Round 1 (1) Round 4 (2) Round 6 (1)
2 - KSU. Round 2 (1) Round 7 (1)
2 - Mizzou. Round 4 (2)
3 - Nubs. Round 5 (2). Round 6 (1)

14 - South. Round 2 (4). Round 3 (3). Round 4 (3). Round 5 (1). Round 6 (1). Round 7 (2)
0 - Baylor
4 - OU. Round 2 (2). Round 3 (1). Round 7 (1)
0 - OSU
5 - UT. Round 2 (1). Round 3 (2). Round 4 (1). Round 5 (1)
5 - ATM. Round 2 (1). Round 4 (2). Round 6 (1). Round 7 (1)
0 - TT

Wrong on that!! CU had two in the second round. KU only had one in the first round and their next wasn't until Round 4. CU is the winner for day one draft picks for the North!! Go Buffs.

OU had players drafted.... wow who would have thought that.... surprise surprise surprise....:smile2: draft smack talk.... no I only call people out on gun control (how its all the gun's fault) and how "simple" farming is....

actually I am kinda wondering how some Big XII players didnt get drafted, from several different schools. I hope they go the "free agent" route and make a team and contribute more so than some of the other late round picks...

So let me get this straight, at the end of the weekend, NU still had more players drafted than CU......see how pathetic draft smack is???

I'd be pleasantly surprised if the NFL draft takes more than Rabid Goldfish out of CU next year.

I'd be surprised if Nicholas wasn't taken as well. Ryan Walters should get a late round look, and Daniel Sanders too, but yeah... not exactly a world beating senior class. That said, the 2011 and 2012 drafts should be lots of fun for Buffs fans to watch

well....with those stellar recruiting classes that BC was bringing in....you should hope they had a few drafted. let's see how many of them make a team and how many of them are back in lincoln/omaha next fall signing autographs for a living.....
