Is it me or did I miss the Cornhusker players that were drafted on day one? Oh, you mean i didn't miss anything. And to think their oft dismissed non rival had two players taken.

It must be so sad for them... :devil2:

I was just noticing that myself. Today was a proud day for Buffs Football and who knows what tomorrow might bring. Better luck next time Fuskers...

Yeah, keep beating your chest....should we get into the whole "who has more players in the NFL right now", or the "who has had more players drafted throughout the years" arguments?? Didn't think so. Great for Dizon, and Wheatly, they deserve it!

Let's do the "which one of us had Lawrence Phillips on our roster" argument instead. :smile2:

I only get to do this every so often so sue me. :smile2:

In fairness, the NFL Channel prominently displays ample footage of USC draft picks running over kNU.

I know, try being a Husker fan, and pretty much the only footage I have seen are of other players abusing my beloved Huskers.:wow: Three Huskers should go today (Nicks,Purify, and Bowman)....we'll see. Just shows how pathetic the talent level, or lack of coaching in the past four years has done anything for the Husker players.

i thought the inventor of the forward pass, Bill Callahan, was stockpiling 8 star recruits.....that's what you guys were telling us the last few years. it was just "getting the personnel for "the system"".

you guys got hoodwinked by that snake oil asshole. WCO, Harrison Unitas Beck, Keller for Heisman, Marlon Lucky, breakout year, BCS bowl....c'mon, you remember. :smile2::wow:

Won 25 bucks, off of my DELUSIONAL 'sker friend... DELUSIONAL when he said that more huskers would be drafted on day one than Buffs..

2-0, I win!

We can compare NFL through the years. I doubt NU has much more than CU through time.

In the 90's CU owned NU with players getting drafted

Well the corn****ers finished with 3, buffs 2.

I just find it funny that Sam Keller didn't get the call. Wasn't he supposed to be their savior last year, win the NC, heisman, #1 draft pick, next Joe Montana??? Oh no wait that was Harrison Beck! Oh no not Beck? Josh Freeman? I get em mixed up.

And I think MO Purify really screwed himself over with his off field problems. He has NFL talent, but I think he didn't get drafted because he is too much of a ? with off the field. Too bad for him, hate to see it when players waste their talents away with stupid stuff (cough cough Katoa)

Maybe it's just me, but I never got the hype with Purify. He sure seemed like a mediocre WR that happened to have a some size.

His abillity was off the charts imo. Size, speed, hands. He seemed to have it all. To bad he didn't have the common sense to stay out of trouble. It seemed to find him. :sad1: I never like to see talent like that get wasted. Even from a fusker.

Draft smack? Awesome
Exactly, but it was kind of ironic that at the end of the weekend, NU still had more players drafted.

NU 327
CU 255 (Really closer than I thought it was going to be).

In the 90's CU owned NU with players getting drafted

Players drafted in the 90's for both schools:

NU 63
CU 56

Who owned who??

Again, if you are going to bring up some weak draft smack to the board, better have the facts to back that up!

See you around thanksgiving when it counts.

anyone else get the impression that brc would feel he had a leg up in life if he found a nickel thrown on the ground?

dang

Ahhh, but you forget, my little red friend, that as the bachelor, Ryan Sutter counted for 10 draft picks so CU gained a slight edge in the 90s.

It is you who arrived at this gunfight brandishing a knife.

:cry::cry: I guess with the corn's last couple of seasons down the drain you have to find a little sunshine somewhere. Should be plenty grey for you about Thanksgiving.

Or you could look at who actually did something in the pros:

CU Buffs with Super Bowl Rings: 27
Huskers with Super Bowl Rings: 16

But I'm sure a winner like Maurice Purify will even that gap up a bit.

And you can add one more to the Buffs' side next year when Polumbus gets one. :wink2::smile2:
