Colorado Buffaloes v Texas Longhorns - Alamo Bowl, 29 Dec, 7pm MT - GAME THREAD

It should help, but it won’t. We currently do not have the ACs or infrastructure in place to recruit well.
Yea until there is a fundamental change I would be surprised to see recruiting success, but then again we are playing in a bowl game partially bc of a QB who played safety last season so I mean, **** could happen right?

they rolled with noyer because it gave us the best chance to win this year. it was the right choice. they didn't get lewis reps earlier in the season because (a) he was a frosh and (b) there was someone ahead of him on the depth chart.

what this season was, fundamally, was a good football guy, jumping into a ****-situation and maximizing chances for success. very nfl style. we need to recruit.

anyone have any insight on why joe davis is running ahead of mang at rb? just curious.

Y'all are really upset about this result? Should have seen this coming. Best player missing, playing an injured QB, missing other starters, against a team that vastly out-recruits us...
Of course we’re upset! WTF? We’re getting plunked in National TV. Hell yes we’re upset.

I'm glad UT is still a bunch of asshats. #0 should have been gone and now after every play he makes it's this over hyped celebration.

Buddy, I am euphoric. I made a mega wager and hit everything. I’m stoked for Lewis’ future at Colorado too. I think he has the chance to mature into a really strong DTQB.
I'm pretty excited to see Lewis and Shrout battle it out. Probably the two most talented QB's we've had in a very long time.

Alamo bowl ref clearly a Texan. Forget about it if you are expecting unbiased officiating in this game which has been proven over and over again.

I am SAD and UPSET
Very sad that Nate Landman is not out here
Very sad that all these other players are not here cause we cannot handle those losses

Good post. You can see the talent with Lewis so should be a fun spring competition with Shrout.

It was a late hit. He shouldn’t have been tossed, and it had about zero to do with the outcome of this game
I never said it had anything to do with the result of this game.
They were laughing after the last targeting call was changed.
That is all I was talking about. #0 is dirty and stupid. Missed the first half of this game due to targeting last game

NO. Recruiting success is not accidental. It takes the commitment of the entire football program to make the roster better. The HC, ACs, RC, and recruiting assistants must work in unison to scout top talent, develop relationships with players, parents, and HS coaches AND get players to commit. You cannot win at this level with hope as your strategy. It takes commitment and a high level of doggedness on the trail that makes the roster better.

I know CU hasn't really been in this game from the start but this is still a nationally televised game and CU's sideline get's zero TV time, that's playing Texas in Texas for you.
