Pitt-Cincinnati: They used to be in the same conference and now they're not, and there are only 2 future games on the schedule.
WSU-Idaho: Game hasn't been played since 2016 and Idaho is moving to FCS. Not sure this is an apples to apples comparison, or what we're going for.
Utah-Utah St.: Hasn't been played since 2015. Rivalry cancelled now that Utah is in the Pac12.
BC-UMass: UMass is an independent and very recently just moved from FCS to FBS. Again, not an apples to apples comparison.
TCU-SMU: This is the only one that's somewhat comparable and they have stopped playing the game every year after TCU moved to the Big XII.
We should schedule a home and home with School of Mines or UNC-Greeley because it would be good for recruiting in-state and would drum up interest among the locals which is somehow good for the program. Maybe we could play CSU-Pueblo at Mile High to open the season every year because it would be good for the state.

It's awesome to have people who grew up with a different team chime in with an opinion like this. You are right that it seems like CSU gets the most debate on this board outside of Nebraska. Myself, I pay more attention to the Utes and the AZ schools than the others. I want the Buffs to win more of those Utah-UA-ASU matchups while I'm more lukewarm about the LA schools. I can't stand Stanford although.
This game has been off campus for awhile and during that time, both teams have declined during that time so I don't see any recruiting upside to having the game in Denver. Having the game on both campuses will not only lead to more better attendance numbers but a better experience for prospective student athletes.
USC not being a "blue blood"? That's debatable and blue bloods do go through some down times on occasion. USC's problem stems from apathy from the school president office and administration.

Funny that you think CU fans will show up in droves to a game in FOCO when a good chunk couldn't even be bothered to show up to Boulder for the first home game against Nebraska in a decade.
To be fair, it really only takes maybe 10 or 20 opponents fans to overwhelm the lamb fans in their own stadium.
A lot of Buff season ticket holders made a lot of money off of stupid nebraskans a couple years ago. Can you imagine shelling out over $1,000 to see your teams heart torn from its beating chest? Again?

If you know someone who claims they got $1k for a ticket to that game, I'd be very suspicious of that claim.
Does it really matter if it was $750 or $1000? The point remains.
$1,000.00 wouldn't surprise me if it was from a Husker fan. Husker fans are well known for spending a ton of their money on anything Husker related.

I don't like this either. Several reasons. One, six games with them in a decade is too much right now. We have 30 OOC slots a decade. One of the things we all liked about the scheduling news over the last couple of years was the variety of it-A&M, Minnesota, TCU, Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Missouri, Florida, and so on. That's exciting to me as a fan.....even more so after series with teams like UMass, Hawaii, and little brother basically every year going back to.......the late 90s? When you can hear the sarcasm coming from a media guy like Mike Evans (he works as an example because he doesn't have a dog in the hunt in that series) when this came up on his show, it just needs to die for now because it doesn't work for either team. We're naming our score for the most part against them. These games will all be on third tier TV-essentially.
There are other teams that accomplish the same thing playing them does-Nebraska makes a ton of sense still. Frankly, I was shocked we don't have more on the calendar with Fusker coming into this year after tight games in 2018 and 2019. Both games got fairly high ratings from what I've seen. Air Force is a lot more of a draw than CSU. In my view, a home and home with them a decade is good. This is essentially 1958-both schools should give the series a break to give CSU (in particular) a chance to get their **** together.

No. CSU doesn't bring anything to any league that CU would not bring. As far as Fusker, yes-they'll play us. AFA I'm good with-frankly, I'd rather play them 4 times a decade and CSU twice-but AFA is a bitch to schedule because they play Army, Navy, and a cupcake every year. As far as other MWC teams, I'd offer that open slot in 2025 we now have to Wyoming ASAP. They've played one-offs here twice that I can remember-so its worth asking. Arky? Come on. Not a recruiting area for us and that whole state is a dump. Doing a home and home with Tulane or Texas Tech (pass on **** bailer!) would be more effective. **** Tennessee too-my ex fiancee went there and they flat out blow ass, and their issues might not be fixed until like 2045.
