So This Wheatley Fellow.....

My team drafted him and The more and more I hear about this guy the more I love him. So how did he do in college? do you think he will do good in the nfl? is he good in man? how fast is he? give me the 441 on this guy

I also Noticed he doesn't seem cocky(at least not off the field) he seems very smart and well rounded, but maybe that will change because he's a rookie right now but lets hope not.

As far as his character is concerned, Tyrone Wheatley is a far, far, far, far FAR better and more ethical man than your head coach. But I guess that sort of goes without saying.

EDIT: I am the supreme idot.

F*ck the patriots.

Wheatley has good speed, good hands, makes good decisions and is an asset. He is fairly injury prone, but hopefully that was just a phase  I hope he has a very good career even though I will not want his team to ever win (unless he is traded).

Holy Balls, some of you guys are as arrogant and as snobby as Colt's fans. WOW. All i asked was about one of your former players and i get F*ck the Pats. wow. The sports world has gotten over spy gate except the trolls.

Man i was thinking bout becoming a Buff fan cause I'm getting more into college football and because my family lives there but is this how all of you act?

Most people dont like the pats man. You are dealing with two of the bigger characters on this website just so ya know. Join the Buff family, but first get us some beers.

More or less, Tyrone is now our most hated buff(at least Rae Caruth wasn't on the Pats). Videos should still be floating around from the Jersey burning.

What's the point in me even liking the buffs? all ill ever hear is the pats swallow or belicheat this. i've been a pat fan for 18 years and while im not saying spy gate was right we were obviously not the only ones that did it,hell if you trust in Matt Walsh he even said the jets were doing it too. why don't the jets get punished? idk but thats a whole another stroy. As for Wheatley I just saw his Highlights on Youtibe and he looks very Impressive and has better recovery Speed then Assante. But we all know Assnante will be a product of the system. Suppose most of you are Bronco Fans?

Gotta have thick skin over here man!! I was giving you a hard time about the f*ck the patriots thing...i just don't like them. I should have thrown in one of :smile2: these...Anyway, Wheat is an outstanding person and good football player. There have been various articles from the Pats workouts after the draft talking very highly about T. Wheat, which I am glad to see.

We would love new Buff fans and would like you to get to know the U. of Colorado and post around here about it, but you have to learn to not get mad if someone says sh*t about Belicheat and the lil patriots, because most people hate them...everyone gets made fun of in here..

The Pats are no threat to the Broncos anyway you guys kick are asses everytime we play you, Damn you champ. Anyway The one thing I find funny is how on NFL live Mark Schlertha(spelling?) says the NFL should take away our rings and trophies because they violated a rule, yet his team violated a rule too soo..... i'm not sure he can really say that.

Sorry! Sorry everybody! That was a definite slip on my part. Must have been that CU/UMich game on classic today, got my Wheatleys all mixed up.

Also, I hate Boston. Consider me blinded by both rage and embarrassment right now.

Easy solution if they indeed try this...

"Oh sh*t, I don't know where I put my ring!! Guess I can't give it back..." :smile2:

As for the trophies...why not try the same excuse?

Bear in mind that you're also dealing with the alma mater of Ted Johnson right now. There's more than a little extra animosity towards Belicheck in Boulder because of that.

I don't want to turn this into a "I hate the Patriots because..." essay.

BUT.

I hate the Patriots because I lived in Newport Rhode Island last year. Before I actually moved to the region I didn't hold any animosity toward any of the Boston teams. However, I learned last year that the "Clams" just aren't my people.

Now back to topic.

Terrence Wheatly has proven himself a solid player who plays grinds through enormous pain (insert Ted Johnson response). He appears to have reined in any attitude for his rookie camp, but you could ask some Wyoming players about whether or not they found T-Wheat cocky.

Last year, during a "pick up" seven-on-seven, Wyoming's team claimed to have the fastest player on the field. Shortly after the game began, Wheatly nabbed an interception (from that player), which I believe he returned, but frankly I'm not certain. On the next series of offensive downs, he lined up at receiver, ran the fly and hauled in a touchdown. He apparently took off his shoes directly after the touchdown and walked off the field, saying, "I've got nothing left to prove here." His teammates called it a "Hollywood moment."

If you want to see classic T-Wheat in action, watch last season's CU vs. Texas Tech game, in which he lined up against the best receiver in the nation. His receiver, Crabtree snagged one touchdown and Wheatly nabbed three interceptions. However, if you watch T-Wheat's position on Crabtree's lone touchdown, it's a thing of beauty. Little T-Wheat, elevated against the giant with two sets of hands mirroring each other. Crabtree won that battle, but it was definitely Wheatley's war, when the dust had settled.

One other thing to check out is the determination in Wheatly's interception with a return against Arizona State last year. He'd been jawing a little during the week before the game with ASU's Defensive Coordinator who'd formerly been employed as CU's secondary coach. T-Wheat didn't like Craig Bray (I'm pretty sure that's his name) because he didn't play him when he was his coach. So ASU's FIRST play from scrimmage results in a T-Wheat touchdown! Awesome!

He seems like a good guy, all the way around. I'm rooting for him, if not necessarily his team.

GO BUFFS!

That return was a thing of beauty, in all honesty. The way he contorted himself to sneak the ball inside the pylon as he was being tackled out of bounds... I mean, most people are just entirely incapable of bending like that, let alone while being tackled by another enormous human being. That's one in a million level athleticism.

that was a first class demonstration of how to take the high road. [/sarcasm off]

there is no reason whatsoever. we already have our quota of uptight fans in jimmybuff.

as for your original question, I will give you the 411 and you can keep the other 30:

* there is a reason he is headed your way, and it is not because he was a schlepper for us. you may find youtube useful to see him at work.
* according to eric cartman, he had more interceptions than hippies in boulder. there are a LOT of hippies in boulder.
* not only is he a great guy "in man" but his family is, too. i guess. it depends on what you consider that to be.

so there you go :beerme:

First, TW was a geat get for you guys. Quality player, quality guy.

Second, we don't get along about anything but CU football, and not even on that much of the time. We are like a famlily here, so we pick on each other and rag on each other contantly. If you don't think so, just read the political board for a few hours. As a majority, many of us like the Broncos, but I think that it might be dicey if you added up the fans of other NFL teams--the Broncs might be just over 50%, certainly not 90%. Giants, Colts, Raiders, SD, and who else?

As a general rule, our biggest team we are fans of is the CU Buffaloes. I think most of us here like college football more than pros.

Besides, if you stick around, Tucker will be along sooner or later and he loves all teams Boston related. You two can get in a circle jerk and rub each others knob for as long as you like. NTTIAWWT.:smile2: Just do it somewhere else.

Wheatley's work ethic is outstanding. The Patriots got a very solid player. I think the majority of folks here wish he had gone to a different NFL team, though.

I used to love it when Buffs would end up with the Patriots - Graham, Johnson, Ashworth. It was like a whole new team I could root for. But it's the NFL, and the NFL sucks.

You are alright in my book. I have never heard a Patriots fan actually identify the nice run the Broncos have had against the Pats dating to the early 80's.

In any event, welcome. Wheatley is a great player and I hope he has a great NFL career for you. He is a great kid and should be able to fit into the Pats system well. He has been injury prone, but here's to hoping that is behind him.

As for your blossming interest in college football, you could not pick a better team to follow over the next 3-5 (and hopefully more) years. It is going to be a great ride...trust me.

T Wheat is a helluva young man. Very bright, very articulate, and very well mannered. One thing you may not know is that he has a permanent metal pin in his wrist.

T-Wheat is a stud and a great person. If you ever hear an interview with him you will love him even more, very well spoken and a great laid-back personality. I'm not sure you know of a guy named Crabtree for Texas Tech, but Wheat covered him the whole game last year and got 3 picks out of it.

I believe he was in the top 3 of 40 times at the combine for CB's.

and a little something else...:smile2:[ame="http://youtube.com/watch?v=mD0vARpus-g"]YouTube - To the Patriots: You Cheated[/ame]

I did know about that pin in his wrist, I also found out he's a "weather nerd" as he says it. The only Dec video I can find is his highlight video which is amazing but any suggestions where i can see that return against arizona was it?
