Anyone have updates / courtdates on these two? I'm guessing Katoa will sit this year and Rier might be done?::huh::huh:

Katoa is out for the fall, Geer's fate is still undetermined for the fall. The reason that Katoa is out for the fall, no matter the court proceedings is because he enrolled early but then was suspended and is technically academically ineligible

I hope that he would play this year but usually when things take this long it is not a good sign. I guess in this case though no news is good news.

Hey I don't giver a crap if they play or not. Guilty = no season. We all played with that expectation, if you don't get it your fault

ya know, but bear with me, i've worked at CU for 8 years and have 2 degrees...been on campus a lot...and lived in Boulder since 1990. overwhelmingly, the CU people love to bury anything potentially controversial PR wise (when they can) deep into the summer after the students are gone and such. so, who knows about Riar? it's a pattern. so, i don't think it's necessarily true that the delay is a bad sign. it may be, but who knows?

agree with that, mostly. and frankly have zero tolerance for being academically ineligible. if you can't make C's in college today and with the "tutoring" the athletes get these days....you are trying not to...like not turning stuff in on time, missing class, just simply not even doing a middling portion of the work etc. which had nothing to do Riar, just a rant.

You need to get a life......

so, what's your problem?
I have many problems, but, I was thinking that perhaps it would be in your best interest to move away from Boulder for a while...it will give you a renewed appreciation of the place....

why? i have a good job (two actually). i like living in Boulder and have a lot of roots/friends here in the last 18 years. i'm not sure what you read into my previous post, i'm describing situations as they are at the university. that's just the way it is, like it or not.

God bless you.....you are lucky. Most people need to move away from a great place to realize how great it is.....want to change places?

don't get me wrong, i ain't one of *those people* for whom Boulder is a trust fund retirement community for 30 years olds staying forever young. my contract with CU is up in a year and i'd like to stay in the Denver area--maybe buy a condo downtown or Cap Hill area or look for a job elsewhere. but, i'll have to make a decision here come December or so.

my sister lives in Dallas and works at SMU.
