The 2021-2022 Coaching Carousel

Brilliant hire for the Ducks. Guy can recruit, coach, lead, and will likely hire a great staff. He is one of the hottest risers in college football, not a 2nd or 3rd level retread like Kelly or Wilcox.

The Pac-12 is stepping up it’s game this offseason. Kliakoff has got to wearing a big grin.

That’s not a risk.
Their last two coaches had short stints and didn’t really elevate them. If Lanning were to do the same, that doesn’t move them forward. But on top of that , Lanning isn’t a proven head coach, who’s head coach was also a DC.

I have never even heard Lanning speak so maybe he’s a no brainer. But on paper I like Wilcox better for all 3 reasons. Former Duck, track record as a Head Coach, and didn’t have Kirby backing him up.

Lanning seems like a future star. And I am sure Oregon has learned their lesson and will give him a monster buy out

Cristobal didn’t elevate Oregon.

Kirby had Saban backing him up…

Very few coaches could hold that together. The egos in those coaching meetings. :ROFLMAO:

Pretty amazing job that Nick Saban has done at Bama.
