I'd like to see him carry the ball in a game first.
A UT fan at work sent me an unsolicited IM that said: "Beware of Oct. 4th. I've been hearing the horns are going to try to take out that running back your team stole from us."
Whatever. Bunch of crybabies.
****, I'd love for just about anyone on the team to have a big game against Texas. Except for our punter.

I'd like to see him carry the ball about 28 times.

Adrian Peterson had 16 carries for 100 yards in his first ever game against Bowling Green.
I'd think Darrell Scott could at least equal those numbers against the Lambs.
If he had 5 carries for 100 yards and 2 TD's I'd nut all over myself.
just after bitching that he didnt do it on 4 carries. :smile2:
Slade said:How the hell can you people say he looked good? He got tackled 3 out of his 5 carries. And this was goddamn CSU! Things are going to get real ugly against teams like West Virginia and Florida State if he can't even beat the dog**** defenders at CSU 60% of the time. It's obvious Scott is a bust. Can we finally put an end to the idea that Hawkins can recruit? It's painful. It's pathetic. Bringing in running backs who are slower than Colorado State's defensive linemen. This team is going to be lucky to win 3 games this season, especially with the ridiculous schedule coming up. While I can see Scott possibly getting a couple missed tackles again against Eastern Washington, he'll be lucky to break the line of scrimmage at all for the rest of the out of conference schedule. Markeesha all over again, you had to know it was going to turn out that way.
If you people want to be satisfied with this kid giving us two good plays against a team that allowed 12 touchdowns total on the day, feel free. But some of us have higher expectations for this program and aren't willing to settle for watching the best thing this staff can bring to this program FAIL the majority of the time against a bad team. I, for one, refuse to accept this kind of standard for CU football.
I keep getting an image of his first play being a pitch to the right followed by a bomb to his wide open cousin. J FLy sails toward the CSU student section laughing.
:smile2::smile2: (LCFS, try to think of it as an homage...)
That sounded a lot more like Jimmy to me. If you replaced "Hawkins" with "Barnett" then maybe it could pass as the Col.
Eh, you're probably right.
Too bad Jimmy isn't the subject of this thread... :smile2:

Okay, go out to orange-peels, or whatever it is, and post a bunch of bogus job openings for local Boulder banks.
