Week 14 (February 14-20)

SMU (19-6, NET 51) rolled Memphis (15-9, NET 42) in Dallas. I think that could be good for us since it makes it more likely for the AAC to be a 2-bid league (Houston + SMU). Need to see Memphis keep losing.

Marquette (17-10, NET 30) losing at Creighton (18-8, NET 67) is a less than ideal result for us.

I lost the tweet, but somebody pointed out that if Juwan Howard wasn't a famous ex-player, there wouldn't be this rush to defend his obviously reprehensible behavior. I can't say I disagree. You got the Michigan fans rushing to his defense, people from Chicago who followed his career, fans of NBA teams he played for, etc etc.

That's kind of ridiculous that so many people are defending him, no excuse whatsoever for hitting an opposing coach. This is also not his first outburst, he had to be held back in the B1G tournament last year and got ejected.

Yeah. I would fully support him yelling and getting in the other coach's face, but throwing the punch is not appropriate for a coach. Is that the type of composure he's teaching his players?

Rutgers is good. Looked like a worthy tourney team to me today. But Purdue is elite. It's gonna take a special performance to beat that team.

Howard absolutely has to be fired at this point. There shouldn’t be any place in college athletics for the leaders of these young men to lose control and physically attack someone like this.

With Howard, I don't think that incident in and of itself should get him fired. Thing is, I didn't know about the incident with him and Mark Turgeon last year. The Wisconsin coach was stupid too. Don't try to explain why you did what you did when the guy is obviously still pissed about it. Address it later. Anyway, Juwan crossed the line so he'll get what he gets.

Actually, I believe the Wisconsin douche was complaining about Michigan employing a full-court press against his walkons. Buncha crybaby losers in the Big.

You could be right, I didn't see that game. All I saw was the highlights this morning and what ended up happening before I left.

I tend to treat sports differently and don't know if I should.

In my job, if someone did what Howard did I would have to fire him.

Considering his little issue with Turgeon last year, I tend to agree.

At the very least he needs to be suspended for the rest of the season.

I’d fire him for the fact that Michigan invested $11.2M in Howard and he seems incapable of performing to the level where he can be relied upon for the long term. This is a great chance to cut bait and spend that money on someone who can control themselves enough to not get in hot water consistently.

Kind of like seeing Okie Lite playing so well to end the season with them banned from the Dance. **** bailer.

More importantly, need to see UCLA destroy any momentum & confidence ASU had built.

This is what I was talking about with my son. Anyone in a non-sports job would have been fired and there probably have been an arrest for assault

Oh damn, this OSU-**** bailer game is about to go to OT, but a ridiculous OSU shot went in with less than a second left, but there was a shot clock violation.

**** Bailer wins. **** em.

UCLA is looking so good right now. Handled business last night without Tyger.

Hell of a game between Nova and UConn. Huskies win by 2.

So glad that UConn is back in the Big East where they belong and owning that they're a basketball school with rivalries that matter.
