Damn I must have really hated Sonny Lubick a lot..

For some reason, I'm having trouble getting up for this game.. I haven't even read anything about the Lambs this year.. Usually by now I'd have good reasons why we are going to crush CSU by pointing out all their weaknesses..

Time to start a new routine, I guess with their new regime..So here it goes:

Urrggh..Wait, why get insightful with pointless matchups, player experience, coaching decisions, etc.. That's a waste of time..

Bottom line: CSU sucks and that is why we are going to beat them this year.. End of story..:smile2:

Oh by the way, who's their new coach again? I know he must have been a big name that was sought by all the big schools in the past few offseasons.... :wink2: I must have missed the ESPNEWS press conference announcing his hiring..

easy to get up for this one....it's the first CU football game in 8 months....nuff said

That, and the fact kickoff isn't utill 5:30 in the evening.

Sure hope the Buffs don't overlook the lambs with that huge Eastern Washington game coming up the following weekend.

Things JimmyBuff hates:

1. Sense
2. Sensability
3. Sonny Lubick?

4. colorado being up by 30 at half instead of 33 because the kicker missed a 65 yard field goal in 90 mph crosswinds by one inch at the end of the half in the first game of the season.

jimmy states, "that is the worst friggin kicker i have ever seen!!!! yea, sure he kicked two from 55 and 64 yards in that wind but when we needed it to put the game away, he choked on that 65 yarder!!!! we only won 64-3. should have been 67-3. "
:smile2:

It was easier to dislike the Lambs when they were competitive - and we were nationally ranked. Trash talk and something to play for spiced things up.

But in 2008, the two teams will be squaring off after losing seasons - again. The last time CU played CSU when both teams were coming off consecutive losing seasons ..... try never.

In the 80 game series between the Buffs and the Rams, there has never been a game when the teams played after both had consecutive losing seasons (there's a stat I'm guessing even Dave Plati didn't have!)

well if anyone here knows a CSU fan/student, you know how big of ****heads they are about winning this game and about they're general disregard for CU in general....so anytime we can kick the living shyte out of the rammy's then I'm all psyched up about it and ready to shove their face in some buffalo crap afterwards

I intend to be very nice to all the ram fans after the final whistle blows in the RMS this year. I don't think there will be many of them left after we beat them by 30 points or so, but for the 3 or so still in the stadium I will be very nice. Hopefully it will rub off on them.

:smile2:

I never take the CSU game as an automatic win. RMSD brings out the best of everyone.

But CU will win

Go over to ramnation.com-

Reading the posts over there might fire you up. Many over there actually think they win.

maybe the Rams even know what is coming. Usually there is a lot more Buff hate over at Lamb nation by this time. Now don't get me wrong....there is still a fair amount just not the typical three pages.

Hmmm. Change a few words and it would look like a lammie post. Just sayin'. Fans are fans and it certainly isn't like CU fans give CSU fans alot of courtesy and respect either.

Respect is earned, and my brother a CSU almun would admit that CSU fans are completely vicious and against anything CU because we are their Nebraska. It is difficult to respect their fans when they are that way. But I will openly admit and I can speak for about every other CU fan that I know, tailgate with, hang with and graduated with that after the CU/CSU game ends We'll root for CSU because they're another in-state school and I respect the university and their teams. I've just never ran into a worse group of fans before, which explains my willingness to bash them!

As I've said for the millionth time. It was a lot more fun when Bradlee was there and it was better for the series if they beat us every now and again.

I guess I equate it with winning the lotto and freaking out. All of a sudden, they were pretty good, and I think it shocked alot of them. All of a sudden they were giving big brother all he could handle and they were just ecstatic--did not know how to handle it with enthusiasm, but classy too.

They are certainly not as obnoxious lately. A few maybe, but they will be even more humble as the years with Hawk roll by.:wink2:

He's right. What's good for the series isn't necessarily good for CU.

I personally think the "series" is in trouble. Not because I want it to be, but because CU has won 3 of 4 and will very likely win the next 4-5 games - easily. People will stop caring.

What the **** is wrong with you?

not a d*** thing son....it's just these guys are a clown team for 1 day out of the year to me....for the rest of the time being a Colorado native, i'm gon prolly chear for the rams over some nobody's like BYU, SDSU, Wyoming etc. etc....but if they lose, i won't give 2 craps either....overall if we gotta play them every year, then we prolly don't want them to be the worst team in a crappy conference who plays us close every year....plus i got sympathy for my loser brother who went there :wink2:

People in Florida still talk about the fact that the series between Miami and FSU came down to a field goal as time expired something like 5 out of 7 times in a row during the 80s and 90s. One year the kicker for FSU who missed quit the team in shame. Sebastian Janikowski was brought in for this very problem.

The fact is the games a more talked about and more closely watched and attended when the game matters and no one can say who will truly win. CSU has to get good again for that to occur.

I think Steve Fairchild was probably their best option to replace Lubick but I'm not sure CSU is going to be good again anytime soon. 2-10 in the MWC? That's pretty bad.

Nope. Scott Bentley was brought in for this very problem. Janikowski came to FSU later. Bentley would have gone to CU if we'd had a baseball program. At least that's what he said at the time. Of course, he didn't do too much baseball playing at FSU.
