Join the forum, talk a little ****. Its boring arguing with ourselves whether we will beat you by 6 TDs or just 4. All 10 of you ram fans must be lurking out there. Come hype us on the Billy Farris Heisman campaign.

:gobuffs:

Honestly, they don't seem to have much fight in them this year, even over at Sheepnation.

They won't be at the game, so why would they come talk trash before hand?

Today's BDC has a story about the future of the game and at the end of the article talks about the ticket situation for the game. CU was alloted 39,000 tickets and has sold all but 600. CSU has only sold 20,000, which includes 10,000 students. CSU has 9k or so season ticket holders, so that means they have sold approx. 1k walk-up tickets.

So it looks like Mile High will be 50,000 CU v. 20,000 csu.

Obviously they are proud to be c s u rams.

I imagine that the porn shops in Fort Fun are low on anal lube. Sheep fans don't want to come to the Showdown this year without anal lube to ease their suffering.:smile2: If they get a couple of thousand of new bottles of it up there they might sell a few more tickets. or if they would learn to share they could double their numbers.

In all seriousness, have we ever seen a more docile set of Ram fans coming into this game? I think they know what's coming, although the Rammies drinking the green kool-aid at Ramnation still are coming up with ways that they will win the game (as good fans do--we can come up with reasons we will win every game too).

Still, they want to keep the game at Invesco, yet can only sell less than half of their side of the stadium? And only 9k season ticket holders?? This series is dead, at least at Invesco if that trend of ticket sales continues. My heart would just break over that.

Exactly, the wannabe CSWho fans got all excited about this series when the sheep had some good teams for a few years but now it's headed back to being a 1-sided affair. And for some unknown reason they only seem to get excited about it when it's in Denver, because I recall one of the recent games in Boulder where the sheep couldn't even sell out an allotment of 5K tickets they were given.

Frankly if this is true now wonder we want to move the game back to Folsom. Frankly though I still think a rotating series with AFA and CSU would benefit the team and school more. A schedule that went:

Cupcake at home,
AFA/CSU,
Cup Cake (on the road in recruiting hotbed),
Marquee Game.

Would be ideal.

I know the Rams are going to suck this year, most Ram fans know they are going to suck this year....but come-on, there has to be at least on irrational Ram homer out there, actually convinced they are going to take us to the woodshed.

ChicagoRamFan, you out there?

There are a couple at Sheepnation. But all attempts at coaxing them out of their safe haven have been unsuccessful.

I agree but as long as that cupcake game isnt some ****ty DII school. Somone from the ACC or Pac 10 wouldnt be terrible. The only thing about this is that AFA scares me more that CSU ever will. AFA always has the potential to be a great team, and their offense scares me

I've only seen one lammie and he was on the BDC. Calling us puffs and talking some weak trash. Pretty lame.

I saw that guy, and I actually think that he is a nub fan, just switched names. Although all CSU fans seem to be nub fans as well. Gotta try and support at least on halfway decent team.

They switched offenses under Calhoun I believe, no more triple-option. I think they are running more of a pro-style, but I might be making that up.

The offense is basically the same. they still run the option, although they ran some spread option last year. They did go to a no huddle though

CSewe fans are lame. Always have been, and always will be. They will start talking smack about 1 day before the game, calling every sports talk show bitching that they get no respect. When the game is over and they get smacked again, they will disapear until next year.

It's like an annual tradition. Heading into the last two weeks of August, we start to hear a bunch of squawking from up north. CU wins the game and we don't hear from them again until Aug 15 of the following year.

I'll admit that this year has been somewhat different. Not as much squawking.

I unwisely ventured over to ramnation and wow!!!!

What is with csu fans? Where does all the vitriol come from? It’s delusional pandemonium. :wow:

Does anyone here hate csu as much as they hate us?

It is amazing to me how many of their posts relate to CU. They have considerably more posted deriding CU than posts talking about CSU football.

And their forum style sucks :smile2:

I'd say they hate us about as much as we hate the fuskers. The difference, of course, is that the fuskers are a conference team and they hate us right back (even though they won't admit it)

I agree. The thing that I can't understand is why they have so much hatred. I have friends from HS that ended up at CSU and to this day I harbor no ill will for them or CSU. But man, if they ever win the game I never hear the end of it. If we win then I say "good game" and move on.

I usually end up tailgating with some of them and I never talk ****, but everywhere I turn some CSU fan is getting in my face because of my CU shirt. I could understand it if I had said anything to them but I never do. It's not my style.

For the most part CSU fans are our neighbors, co-workers, friends. I find it hard to drudge up the same hatred for them that I have for kNu fans. Wonder why they don't feel the same way. Why not reserve that hatred for Wyoming, BYU, Utah, etc.

I think it's envy. They can't stand that they are not the best program in the state. They are jealous of our success, and they envy us being in the better conference with more moeney and facilities. I think thats what it all boils down to. Oh and the fact that CU owns the rammies on the field.

I often get asked by my colleagues who are from nebraska why CU hates them the way we do. My response is typically "It's in our blood. We hate nebraska, don't ask why".

For CSU, I think it's a different story. I think Unleash hit the nail on the head. It's envy. And while CU certainly envies NU's success on the football field, we don't envy anything else about them. But CSU has a serious inferiority complex. Their campus isn't as nice. Their facilities aren't as good. Their academics aren't as well respected. Their town isn't as cool. Their mascot is a goat. Virtually everything about CSU is inferior to CU except for their veterinary program, something CU doesn't even offer. So for CSU and their fans, the only way they can feel better about themselves is to try to drag us down to their level.

....so true...couldn't have said it better...course they do have the "Joey Porter Locker Rooms" in Moby....man am I jealous of that :smile2:

does that locker room come with a free bullet in the ass for all that enter? :smile2:

...actually as ghetto as moby is (the hight school style pull out bleachers), i wouldn't doubt it...just thought it was hilarious when i saw it last year and thought, "this is the best your university has to offer...the Joey Porter Locker Room in a basketball arena???"

CSU has got good programs beyond their Veternary school. They also have a good forrestry department for anyone who aspires to work for the Park system. There also is a stable for students who don't want to leave their livestock('s) behind when going to college. These stables allow CSU to field a polo team that would kick CU's ass, provided CU had a polo team. And, sorry Florida, CSU predicts hurricanes.

CSU's coolest contribution to humanity, IMO, is their seed bank that stores seeds from as many different species as they can find. So if something becomes extinct in the wild, CSU has a back-up. In a related note, drunk CSU girls...redundant, I know...aren't afraid to put out, atleast they weren't in the day. This provides the perfect opportunity to leave your seed in Ft. Collins, too.

Enough is enough on pointing out the finer qualities of Ft. Fun. No future vets, hurricane forecasts, forrest managers, nor seed collectors will change the outcome on the grid iron on 8/31. We're not playing polo.
