#Fire Coach Dorrell

We’ve routinely had RBs and receivers run past the defense. The edge is consistently available because the team lacks lateral quickness. These guys are SLOW AF.
Barnes, JCS, Thomas, Ham, etc are not slow and they certainly aren’t slow to the point it explains this. Landman was not a speed player. We weren’t remotely this bad with Rick Gamboa at LB. The issues in the run game are primarily coaching and schematic.

Rick Gamboa had better complimentary players. He was routinely exposed. We just have more Gamboas.

As for the players you’ve named, their game speed certainly does not match your vision. Dudes are literally running past them.

Adam and Brian put it nicely... Each of those 4th, 5th and 6th year players in the defensive front seven have played far better during their time at CU. This is purely a scheme and coaching issue across the board. However, the biggest problem is that we have a HC with no expertise of any kind in any area other than WRs, and even our WRs have largely been awful.

Seriously, what does Karl Dorrell bring to the table as a Head Coach? Can anyone name a single positive thing?
He won't leave to go work for someone else that has a better offer. No I'm not kidding. At least in RG's eyes.

Why do you think RG handed this known dud such a lottery ticket contract to begin with? Why do you think RG didn't can him Sunday? RG has no desire to hunt for another coach, after what Midnight did. KD combined with an insane 5 year contract gave him cover to not have to 'deal' with it. He is PRAYING that McCown along with AU not being AS good will result in a 'competitive' game (losing by less than 21), and that will be enough excuse to keep Duhrell around for another year.

My biggest fear about this Saturday is somehow CU makes it close, or god forbid, they win, because if that happens, it will be at least another year and a half before this total turd is finally removed. RG will leave no rock unturned, in his quest to hunt for an excuse to keep him around.

The whole situation is really something to behold, astounding in how historically sad the failures are at every level, as others have more than covered.

It is hard for me to believe a guy who saw the Mac years would lay down, get paid and kill the program, but that sure is what it looks like from here. Fire RG....and Neinas too.

Perception is reality, and ti's hard to see it from the public viewpoint any other way. Neither KD, nor RG do themselves any favors with the way they arrogantly, and especially in KDs case, nonsensically handle the media and PR.

Interesting list to look over as that other team that had a really good year in 1990 is looking for a new coach too.

It's paywalled, so here's the list for y'all w/o ESPN+

Jeremy Chadwell - Coastal Carolina HC
Bill O'Brien - Bama OC
Todd Monken - Georgia OC
Dell McGee - Georgia RB Coach
Deion Sanders - Jackson St. HC
Jeff Monken - Army HC
Bill Clark - former UAB HC
Troy Calhoun - Air Force HC
Thomas Brown - LA Rams TE Coach
Josh Gattis - Miami OC

A lot of those guys have Atlanta ties, so aren't necessarily relevant to the search we hope to be having.

Just nice to see an interesting list that would be worth getting excited about though.

From the outside, Chadwell seems like he'd be the perfect fit. Tougher admissions to deal with, but he's used to doing more with less. System seems to fit program DNA. I think he's a very local guy with the Carolinas, so Georgia shouldn't be much of a stretch.

I’m sure the poor kid who is in the Chip Suit will get a reprimand. I mean, why bother to fix the problem that is leading to the behavior when you can simply punish the person instead? Makes total sense.
it definitely wasn’t spontaneous, they had to purchase that oversized deck of cards in advance just for a moment like that. Most entertaining part of the game aside from Ralphie. Bravo to that kid.

punching down is the go-to tool of weak and ineffective management.

kinda like plati blackballing, or trying to, any fan site that doesn't do what he tells them to do.

kinda like distef going all Pontus pilate and putting the blame for this mess on rg.

and, kinda like rg will eventually fire kd if he thinks that will save his own ass.

the beat goes on.

It talks about the cheerleaders as though they didn’t want to have to watch the game either, just like Chip. Sad….. but funny.

So that rumor of HCKD and Sanford being at odds appears to be true.

I'm hoping for this week to be the last week of Kardboard as CU HC.
