Griffin was pretty impressive IMO.

NC St. not so impressive

Jimmy Harbaugh may have the Cardinal on the upswing....

I love CFB.

I thought Griffin looked pretty good as well. He is going to be a good one. I was also pretty impressed with Wake Forest (even if it was Baylor). I think they can challenge for the ACC again this year.

South Carolina should make a bowl game, but their QB situation is all sorts of screwed up.

Harbaugh is doing good things in Palo Alto, although they definitely caught a break with the fumble at the end. Players need to stop laying out so much, it is so risky, yet you see it far too often.

Harbaugh is the real deal, he'll be gone from the stafurd ina couple of years. Oh and OSU is terrible.

Watching Griffin just proved two things to me last night.

1. There is an assload of talent in the state of Texas if he can slide all the way down to Baylor.

2. The level of QB play in the B12 is insane.

Yea, Wake could probably challenge but they're in the tougher division. The big question there is can Clemson finally get it done.

I wasn't all that impressed with South Carolina on offense last night and can't seem them matching up with some of the top teams in the SEC. And NC State was dreadful. Like you said, their QB situation is a mess, but it should be a no-brainer to start Smelley next week against Vandy. They have a highly recruited freshman QB but he's been in all sorts of trouble with the law.

That's for sure. You know that's the case when 2 different preseason mags rate CU's QB unit and #10 and #11 in the conference, respectively.

If Baylor had anyone that could actually catch the ball in the first half the outcome might have been different.

I would put Cody higher than that (obviously, I am an Buff fan), but he's probably a mid-pack guy, IMO. And that's no slam on him. Just a testament to the high level of QB play in the league.

hawk had a quote during the media days... something like:
"Cody is probably around the 15th best quarterback in the nation, but the 12th best in the Bib XII".

I did not see the Baylor kid, but there is a sick amount of talent around this league at signal caller.
