Are people sure he graduated from CU? I think he's been hanging around Lee too long. No love, no love.
This is his normal M.O. He always goes out of his way to separate himself from CU because he feels he needs to appear to be neutral as the host of College Football Gameday. I have heard from several sources that he is very much a true buff homer off camera and has thrown a few things around the set when the buffs do bad.

No, I'm pretty sure it said upset alert, meaning he thinks CSU is going to win. I may be wrong, but that's what I heard. Besides, the rammies have already started to run away with this.
Kurt and Corso are not the hosts, Fowler is. The other two clowns are just that, comment clowns. Fowler takes his job as host very seriously. If you ever get a chance to meet him, ask him and he will tell you the same.

None of this will matter when we beat the **** out of them tomorrow. Then Fowler gets to come on and say how improved the buffs are and how well the youth on the team is playing...

Good point, I guess it was like having Gonorrhea. It's stings a little at the beginning, but soon, you just learn to live with it. Not that I would know or anything. :lol:
I think he does but not always.
I had a friend who used to work at ESPN and he said Fowler is like the guy who calls the game and Corso and Herbstriet are the color commentators. He said in the broadcasting game the guy who calls the game "owns" the show. So College Gameday is Fowler's show and Lee and Kurt are his side kicks.

I was kind of thinking it in terms of the NFL pregame show, where dumbass Berman is the host, and then there are the experts there to give opinions.
I didn't see him talk about CU being on upset alert, but whenever they pick and upset alert it doesn't necessarily mean they're picking the upset, they're generally just saying that the favorite needs to be careful and not overlook this opponent. I think most people's pick of this being a tight game that could go either way is based on recent history and is just a generic, trendy pick. People don't look into the details to realize that CU is getting better in a hurry and CSU will not have a very good team this year. Although I would certainly expect Fowler to do his homework. :huh:
Watching Gameday one might easily get the impression Corso runs the show tho.
Who cares. Now more people will tune in expecting to see an upset only to see the Buffs KILL the lammies.

Please do not say he sucks around here. Never doubt his loyalty. When I was in school during the 80s, ESPN was in town for a game and you could just see the pride in Fowler's expression and hear it in his voice. He loves Boulder and loves the Buffs and bleeds black and gold just like the rest of us (CSU Husker not included).
He has a job to do and makes a very good living at it. Don't get mad at him for doing it.

Yeah I know, but a lot of good it does. He certainly doesnt throw us a bone. Hell the South Park guys are much bigger fans. He's been so far up Corso's ass he's forgotten his roots. I use to defend him thinkng he was just trying to stay neutral, but now I dont see him even remotely care about CU. There have been ample opportunities for him to stick up for CU while not looking like he's favoring us but he just lets the other 2 turds bash CU.
Now I have no insight on his relationship, if any, with the school on a personal note, but there sure doesnt seem like there's any loyalty left in him.
