Though Oregon stinking it up helps a lot.
When TDS decides that he is the best player on the court, he is unstoppable. We need more confidence from him. We need him to take over the games with or without KJ.
Oregon is playing really softly, and our D is stepping up. Keep the intensity in D and we get this win comfortably.

All that money and they’re still so painfully mediocre
Mediocre is giving them too much credit. This is the worst Oregon team I've ever seen.
Altman has to absolutely embarrassed. He has an unbelievably bad team tonight, especially given the very high level of recruiting. The guard play was terrible. Part of the problem is Bittle and Couisnard just got back from injuries and Barthelemy is out with a foot injury.
I was hoping he could get more than 1 minute ....

Every time people **** on Tads recruiting talent development, and how CUs season has gone so far (even further up in this thread) I just think to myself imagine being an Oregon fan right now or Villanova or Illinois, or Michigan, or Creighton,. Having all the funding, recruiting all the star players and the same win % as CU. Hell even North Carolina has only one less loss than us. Like people think we swung and missed on Quincy Allen so far who was 90th in his recruiting class.
We just beat a team that has the 7th ranked player in the nation that Tad just coached to a gold medal as his best player score 2 points on 1/4 shooting against us. That team has the 28th ranked player in 21, has scored a total of 77 points in 29 games. Ethan Wright has almost scored that much at CU. The 14th best player in the nation in 2019. The 46th best player in 2018 who is a 5th year starting point guard who prepped at Oak Hill academy. That team is 8-7.
CU is 10-6. Everybody go look at their preseason prediction thread. 61/64 Allbuffs voters predicted this team would have 22 wins or less.
We just shat on that team by 20 plus and we are all bitching about the development of the 150 ranked player who played 3A high school basketball in Colorado and played 50 minutes his freshman season for not living up to his potential. Imagine what Oregon is saying about Nathan Bittle, Nfaly Dante, Klel Ware, Will Richardson….
But Dana has never beaten Tad at the Keg. That was the game Tad was out with Covid.
It was a miserable afternoon for me. Very much appreciate Tad making it right by sitting KJ and then demolishing Dana as punishment for winning while Tad was unable to coach last year.

BOULDER — No KJ Simpson proved to be no problem Thursday for the Colorado Buffaloes.
With their leading scorer out with an illness, the rest of the Buffs stepped up and played one of their best games of the season, dominating Oregon in a 68-41 victory at the CU Events Center.
Tad Boyle's Buffs improved to 10-6 overall and 2-3 in Pac-12 play. The Ducks fell to 8-7, 2-2 while scoring the fewest points in Dana Altman's 13 years at the Oregon helm.
The Buffs, coming off a disappointing loss at Cal, were a different team Thursday. CU jumped out to an early lead and never trailed. Colorado led by 18 at the half, 37-19, and extended the margin to as much as 27 in the second half as they never let the Ducks mount a comeback.
Tristan da Silva — who totaled just 15 points in CU's two-game road trip last weekend — led three Buffs in double figures with a career-high 30 points, along with seven rebounds. Julian Hammond III stepped into the starting lineup in Simpson's absence and tallied a career-high 16 points along with four rebounds and three assists. Nique Clifford added 13 points and Luke O'Brien had a career-high 11 rebounds.
The Buffs dominated nearly every statistical category. Colorado held a 46-28 edge on the boards and held Oregon to just 27 percent shooting (14-for-52), including a 1-for-14 night from long range. The Buffs shot a respectable 45.5 percent (25-for-55) and had a 14-3 edge in assists.
"You could tell from the get-go on the first couple of possessions that we were locked in defensively," said Boyle, whose Buffs held the Ducks their lowest point total since 2009. "We got some deflections, we were active. It wasn't Oregon's best night, there's no doubt about that. But I like to think we had something to do with that. I told the team today that whichever team rebounds the ball better is going to win the game and we were that team tonight."

Oregon coach Dana Altman was obviously disappointed with his team's performance.
"I'm embarrassed," Altman said. "We got beat by 18 on the boards, so you try to keep yourself in the game with free throws and we didn't do that (12-for-21). Three assists. Our ball movement was awful. It was a really poor performance and there's not much I can say."
For the Buffs, it was a much-needed win.
"A big-time effort by our guys," Boyle said. "We won this game in practice on Monday, in practice on Tuesday, in practice yesterday. It wasn't a real fun film session on Monday. I got after them. But they responded."
O'Brien's effort on the boards proved to be critical all night as he finished with a career-best 11 rebounds. Time and again, O'Brien battled inside against bigger players to make sure the Ducks didn't get extra shots, and he also came up with some crucial offensive boards.
"Phenomenal minutes," Boyle said. "He played with energy and emotion and he finished. We wanted to be in attack mode and Luke did a great job of finishing."
TURNING POINT: The Buffs built a double-digit lead early with a 12-2 that provided a 25-10 cushion and the Ducks never came within single digit again.
WHAT IT MEANS: The loss takes some of the sting out of last week's disappointing loss at Cal — but they can't get complacent as Oregon State visits on Saturday.

We did not swing and miss on QA. He's better than almost everyone on this team, Tad just doesn't like his playing style.

@Darth Snow You know it's true. Everyone whose seen practice knows he can whip anyone on our team. Tad suffers from "college coach syndrome" and plays absolute scrubs like Gabbidon and Wright because they "try hard".
