January 28th - Elite Underclassmen Weekend

Currently unrated Edge prospect from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Has a monster offer list but looks like it’s mostly recent offers. I might be wrong but it looks like he plays for a team that’s assembled of homeschooled athletes in the state of Oklahoma.

Adam has a free article on ‘23 WVU OL commit Chrisdasson Saint-Jean potentially visiting the weekend of the 28th:

Also, on the 247 OV page (not behind the pay-wall), ‘23 WR signee Omarion Miller is listed as an official visitor for Junior Day weekend as well.

Mostly wishful thinking here but I’m wondering if the #1 CB in the nation for ‘24, Ellis Robinson IV, might have plans to visit for our Junior Day. He included us in his top 5 recently:

He’s considered a heavy UGA lean after visiting for their championship parade last week, but he’s visiting Miami this weekend who are also in his top 5. And then a couple days ago, we were upgraded to warm on 247, which is noteworthy because he’s the only ‘24 recruit we’ve been upgraded to warm on which likely means he’s discussed us recently to a national or regional person. Anyway, the fact that he’s still taking visit(s) after Georgia makes me think we might have a chance to get one. 🤞

I don't think that's wishful thinking anymore.

This is getting insane. This is the biggest turnaround in sports history tbh. Never has a team had the season we had and then this good fortune immediately following ever. Players like this wouldn't have dared to visit let alone come here under anyone else but McCartney and that was after he won a 'Ship. This is after whatever the **** last year was.

i was resigned to maybe moving to the big 12 and then battling for a conference championship once a decade. Now I am at playoffs/Natty in the near future or bust mode. Win 5-6 games this year and we pull a top 5 class for '24. Book it.

That's because Colorado is simply loaded with cash! We got all that marijuana money now and we've been sitting on it all this time.
Because, after the sex scandal and then Gary Barnett disparaging the only female football player to ever play D1 football on ESPN,
followed by an infraction at the buffet line where a walkon got a ham sammy CU was forced to take action.

Self punishment was clearly in order said the politically correct members of the admin. Masochism.
We promoted a legendary female women's basketball coach to assist in the AD and made sure that we self-punished ourselves over and over.
By 2021, when all of our talented players had been fleeced by other teams for something called NIL (aka as money), complete apathy had set in with our fan base.
'Holic even cancelled his season tickets of 20+ years. He rarely wrote about football and focused his energy to saving the board from Trumpism.

Then, two local media members publicized that our players were being fleeced by other programs who had NIL deals when CU had ignored this change in rules. They went on to say that even if CU had a NIL program, players couldn't transfer here due to academic restrictions that other similar Universities did not possess.
Evidently, someone read these articles and asked RG about them.

And suddenly, Rick George awoke and said "wait, what"?
And his superior ( a fat guy named Phil who'd evidently got BOR approval to sort of retire but not really) said Rick, what is this NIL?
Rick replied, "well sir, I was on the original 18 member board that setup the NIL, so I know all about it. Here's how it works:" and proceeded to explain it to Fat Phil
Phil asked "what is our NIL program"? Rick said "sir, we are waiting to see if other schools have success before we partake"
Phil asked "why are our best players leaving". Rick said, "well, other schools are offering them $$$ and we also thought that in order to best punish ourselves for the infractions that disturbed Ceal so badly way back when, that we then hired the one head coaching candidate who's personality is so poor, it drives people away".

Phil thought about it and replied "Ceal is gone, I'm not afraid of her anymore. We should participate in NIL Rick."
Rick said "that will cost money"!
Phil replied "Rick, we have a ton of money. Everyone in Colorado is rich and think of all the Marijuana profits. I've been hoarding this money for years during our period of self-punishment".

And so, they set out to hire Coach Prime and now can offer the biggest fattest NIL deals ever. Because we are RICH.
In fact, RG stands for Rich George. No more whisky tonight for me.

We won’t need to win that many games for a top 5 class.

Apologies for the double post but I compiled a list and wanted Shakir Collins to get his own post about his planned visit. Like Adam always says, recruiting is fluid so there’s not necessarily an “official” list until the players are here. But these are the expected visitors so far that have made a public comment about visiting:

‘23 4* ATH signee Adam Hopkins
‘23 4* WR signee Omarion Miller
‘23 3* OL WVU commit Chrisdasson Saint-Jean
‘24 5* WR Ryan Wingo
‘24 4* Edge Danny Okoye
‘24 4* OL Brandon Baker
'24 4* ATH Ju'Juan Johnson
‘24 3* ATH Gregory McClendon
‘24 3* LB Shakir Collins
‘24 3* OL Talan Chandler
‘24 3* QB Daniel Kaelin
‘24 3* RB Stacy Bey
‘24 unrated DL Jacob Bradford
‘25 4* ATH Lamason Waller
‘25 unrated TE Jacob Alvarez

Great mix of star talent as well as players coming in for important evaluations. Every single player has P5 size and a P5 offer list with offers from our peers at the minimum. And I think it’s fair to say to expect some more surprises to the list.

Who our peers are is also fluid! I just know it's not Old Dominion and UTSA anymore.
