CU v CSU Game Extended

I was actually excited to have a few seasons off... it is just draining trying to deal with all the drama surrounding the game, and I am completely tired of dealing with CSU fans. Resume the series in 2014.

Hell, a sure-win sellout is not a bad thing. It beats the hell out of playing Utah State or North Texas. I don't see CSU being anywhere close to CU in terms of on-field talent for the forseeable future.

If we must play, I wish they would keep it out of Invesco.

So the goats ride our coattails a little longer and all we get out of it is the shearing of the sheep for how many more years? Big deal.

I know a lot of you guys hate Invesco. To tell the truth, I'm not a big fan of the place myself. BUT, if it's a 7th "home" game, I'm OK with it.

My version of a win-win is to kick ISU or KJUCO out of the B12 and replace 'em with the lambs. If CSewe were in our conference, that would be the perfect excuse to play them every year. It would give CU a close conference road trip. It would free up more OOC opportunities with regional teams like AFA, BYU, Wyo, Utah, UNLV. There'd be a better case to bring the CCG to Invesco once in a while. And it would mean not having to play in Manhattan or Ames 5 times every decade.

As it stands now, life is too short to go through the same ol' Labor Day routine of CSU fans puffing their chests before the game and crawling under a rock afterward.

I'm definitely ok with having it at Folsom next year. We get to remind the CSwho fans what a real football stadium looks like instead of their crappy high school stadium. Along with the serious butt-whoopin' that they're destined to receive for the next decade or two.

BTW, who wants to dress up in WYO gear and crash the big rivalry in November?

I'm waiting to pass judgment on this until I see the terms. If we are able to get more money out of the deal AND a few more games in Folsom then I think it's an ok move. I have a lot of trouble believing that Bohn would come away from the table with anything less.

This pisses me off, I'm sick of this game, I cant take all the cswho fans ridiculous comments

They think their AD was the big man and forced us to blink, and continue this series, I have no clue where they get these ****ing ideas, the only consolation is they will get ass-raped every ****ing year.

I remember after the 06 game in Denver, one of the then-seniors grabbed Cody and yelled in his face, "NEVER AGAIN". That will hold true.

How much drama is there really with CSU fans? I do some **** talking with some people I know, but it isn't quite A Shot at Love with Sonny Lubick.

Meh, let's wait and see the terms before we pass judgment. I'd be willing to bet they are very similar to what Bohn offered up 3 weeks ago. 10 games, 3 in Folsom, the rest in Invesco.

If you combined that with an increase in the amount of money both schools get from the Denver Metro Sports thingy it actually seems like a good deal to me.

No kidding. I think that Bohn's decision making in the past has ranged from "good" to "absolutely knocked it out of the park," so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt here. I'm betting he got CU some good terms; hope he got a little bit more out of the Denver Sports Commission (or whatever it's called). They make a KILLING on that game.
