His interception against Washington in Folsom to seal the win in 1990 was an awesome moment. I watched that game from the stands with my dad. That might have been his biggest in the stands football moment, too.

How many times did Cam Taylor-Britt get posterized by a CU receiver?
That game in stadium was one of the few positive moments over the last 16+ years. I loved it.
The fact Ben Kelly ranks 38th in CU history in all-purpose yards might not jump off the page. But the fact he accomplished that feat as a cornerback emphasizes how dynamic he was as a returner. Kelly's 1,798 kick return yards are 448 more than any other Buff in history, and given the evolution of the game away from kickoff returns to prevent collisions, it is a record that will likely never be threatened. Kelly, an all-Big 12 selection all three seasons he played for the Buffaloes from 1997-99, was born and raised in Ohio.
Obviously, my love for EB is evident. The photo of him excited on that cold wet day in Lincoln sums it all up. I am short and stout and was always challenged to be the best, just like EB. I have a different personality than he does, but who cares, it felt like I was out running people over like Eric was because he had to play hard to be great.
Ben Kelly is also a small dude that kicked butt, love both guys!
IT'S TIME
I watched that game on tape a few years after it happened. I was still a HS senior that year. Didn't he fumble a few times in that game? I am pretty sure I saw that in Gospel According to Mac- where someone took hm aside and made him take the gloves off?
He fumbled 4-5 times, we got one back, he was sucking it up, and someone on D said to take the gloves off, then he atoned his errors and scored his FOUR 4th qtr TD's and that photo is of him knowing we were going to the Orange Bowl
