Official Countdown Thread - 2023 Edition

In 2018, we were 5-2 going into the Oregon St game where we were heavily favored. A poster named B_Walk started a thread that morning titled "Taking a moment to appreciate being bowl eligible" or something like that.

We let them score 24 points in the 4th quarter and lost in OT. We then lost all the remaining games in the season and didn't make a bowl.

I don't think that poster was ever heard from again.
Now that I think about it, I believe that was also the game where I couldn't remember which room was mine in the AirBnB and ended up sleeping on the couch for fear of the lady calling the cops on me if I made the wrong choice.

Johnson was a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he played from 1971 to 1973 and earned a degree in marketing. His career record as a starter for the Buffs was 18 wins and 5 losses. He led the Buffaloes to road wins over LSU and Ohio State in 1971 (and a #3 national ranking) and a home win against Oklahoma in 1972. At the time his college career ended, he was ranked #3 in the history of Colorado in total offense. 1693040374691.png

I was pretty hard on Hessler from the stands (and in conversations with people). I made the mistake of comparing him to Detmer- the best passer in CU history IMHO. I was also spoiled with Hagan, Stewert, and Detmer as my QB's while I was a student. I also think his 5 TD game against chOklahoma was what I expected throughout his career.
I apologize to Mr. Hessler for being so critical. He might be the last player that I have to apologize to because I have made amends to the others. I have a history of saying dumb things about people because god didnt give me the body to play football.

(but whatever I say about allbuffs posters is the TRUTH!)

What a waste of talent.
6 Year (really 5) career in the NFL with a major knee injury?

It is better than most.

I don't know his particulars except that he came to CU because he screwed up at USC.... but he isn't one of those that didn't make it at all in the NFL.

Going to be on the road until Thursday. Do I post Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday today or wait until Thursday?

Thread got jacked up last time I did this.
