Wouldn't it be a good idea to give Cody a rest for a bit?

He's completed about 33% of his passes today, had a pair of fumbles, has had about 4 or 5 passes batted down at the line of scrimmage.

Not saying he should be permanently benched- but give him a rest for a bit.

Yea - clearly he isn't having a good game. Bring in someone else just to give em a shot.

Agreed, I am not advocating a switch because I think he sucks, I just think we need some sort of different spark. I just want some sort of point put on the board.

Do we have another QB who could have made any of those throws on the TD drive? The 4th down throw to J-Fly had great timing. I think you play whoever you think gives you the best chance to come back and win. Whoever that is.

CU has no chance to come back and win this game.

Ok. I think you play whoever you think gives you the best chance to move the ball and get some points. I'm not saying Hawk is playing well, but Texas is dominating the line of scrimmage. I don't think it matters who is playing QB.

Having QBs on the bench with ZERO experience gives you virtually no chance to win if they have to play in the future.

I agree, give Cody the hook and lets see what others can do in game situations.

All the more reason to get one of the other QB's some reps.

The need some experience, if nothing else.

We need to get to the point that when the game is no longer in doubt, we get the backups some PT like back in the day when Koy would come in for Kordell, and then Hessler for Koy... All that kind of stopped when Neu took over. From that point on the starter played the whole thing and then in the next year when the new #1 guy got his first start he looked like a chicken with no head for the first few games.

Cody hasn't fumbled, unless he's changed his number to "43."

If you don't count bouncing the ball off of Speedy's shoulder pad, I guess you are right... Then there was that one that the ref didnt see come loose in the first half. It was a fumble and we got lucky on that call.

Botched snaps go on the QB though, its his job to get the ball in there.
