GOOD:

our defense was put in a hell of a position throughout the game and they held up ok.

ballenger looked ok against the second team ut defense.

the game is now over and our Buffs didn't lose 70-3.

BAD:

special teams sucked arse again. sorry, but riddle needs to go to remedial coaching school or something. our st are KILLING us.

we were constantly behind on down/distance again and this destroyed the staff's ability to run the whole playbook. still, i would have liked to see some effort to run more effectively. i think all the trouble on the ol is really wrecking the offensive versatility.

UGLY:

the talent differential between a nc contender and CU. that team was damned good. with all the injuries and youth, we are about a zillion miles away from that level.

the texas fans can kiss my ass. their behavior demonstrates everything you need to know about them.

goodman. damn, dude, what the hell is up with your head?

add your good, bad, and uglies here...

we piss our pants on O once we cross midfield. we simply need to start finishing drives, Goodman's problems aside.

Good: I like that our defense did all it could to give our O a chance to win. Also, the cows scored half the touchdowns they did last time we played them.

Bad: Our offense isn't getting the job done. Also, 3 missed field goals!?

Ugly: Our student section made me ashamed to be a buffs fan last night. Say what you want about the whorns (I didn't see anything myself) but the shirt throwing was way out of hand. When I was down on the colorado ramp waiting for halftime to start I got hit with SIX of those ****ing yellow shirts. I know it's fun to get drunk and do stupid $hit but seriously?!

the Ugly I'd like to touch on are ST's Josh smith is alternately awesome and a liability, the dumb mistakes he makes at some level need to be on the coaching staff. Goodman wsa a mess.

Not sure if Riddle is a bad coach or has too much on his plate, i like what he gets from our tight-ends but the ST's are a disaster. **** even tricky ricky knew that if they were going to have a shot against better teams they had to win special teams, so he went out and got an NFL coach with real ST experience. Maybe its time we do the same.

the good? the score wasnt as bad as I thought we would be.

GOOD: We got 4 sacks

BAD: We are slooooow and miss too many tackles. Our OL is a mash unit.No running game, no time to pass.

Josh smith will help you or kill you in special teams.

Our field goal kicker is killing us.

ugly: Our IDOT students throwing shirts on the field all night.

The GOOD:

Our Defensive Secondary has been a pleasant surprise this season. Okay, so we gave up some yards against an elite quarterback, but overall, those guys are in position and have been more effective than in recent season. Bear in mind, also, that our CBs don't have size, and our pass rush has been intermittent.

Has anybody heard a peep about Ryan Walters? I'll go check Scout right now, but I woulda expected something from the BDC this morning.

Okay, spill it. What are you talking about?

Good:
- 4 sacks
- 2 interceptions

Bad:
- 3 turnovers
- We lost

Ugly:
- We lost at home.

The good:

Ripin' tailgate. UBT looks like a cross between an Allman Brother and Ted Nugent. It's called a barber you dirty hippy. :smile2:

The Bad:
I knew we were going to have to play a perfect game to come away with a win, and we were FAR from perfect. Keep in mind that there are maybe 6 teams in all of football that have a chance to win a MNC, and we just played one of them last night. Texas is a great football team. Speed, depth, experience, talent.

The Ugly - Missing three freaking field goals is enough to make a grown man cry. Would it have made a difference in the final outcome? Probably not. But I look at it this way - if we are close enough for three field goals, then we weren't that far away from three touchdowns. THAT would have made a difference.

What to say about Cody? In this humble fan's opinion, he's lost his mojo. He has no confidence in himself anymore. In the limited time we saw Ballenger, we saw him throw a great TD pass, escape a sure sack, and make a nice run for a first down. He has a strong arm, has wheels, and can see over his offensive linemen. His release point for his passes is probably a good 9-10 inches above that of Cody. Jeesh, Cody had FOUR passes blocked at the LOS. That's four automatic incompletes, and potential interceptions depending on how they fall.

Sorry, but I think it's time for a change at QB. After thinking about it, I've come to the conclusion that our offense hasn't really done much all year long.

The Rabid Goldfish spent a lot of time limping. Is Big George okay?

Agreed, that was ugly as hell and reminded me of the last time we sold out a game at Folsom and had an entire section kicked out of the game....grow the hell up and stop acting like 4 year olds!

This also applies to grown 40 year old men who were sitting a few rows back from the field and started verbally assaulting a few of the Buffs players around the end of the 3rd/start of the 4th Q....Hypo actually stood up, turned around and yelled at a bunch of fans for this embarrassing display.

I admit I was guilty myself of a few slanderous remarks at opportune times, but we as solid fans cannot assault our players and team...no matter how frustrating it may be at times, I felt horrible having to see a class guy like Hypo have to turn around and stick up for his teammates in his own stadium!

just trying to "blend" in with the local crowd. didnt want to give it away i was scouting OU's next opponent....

Good: We kept this game from getting wildly out of hand. A game like this in the Barnett era would have turned into a bloodbath. The defense, for the most part, kept Texas in front of us and made them work for the points (pity about that stupid turnover at the start of the second half) they got. The receivers didn't drop much that I remember.

Bad: the team made mistake after mistake after mistake, that made what could have been a close game into a semi-rout. The playcalling was awful. Why did they wait so long until they used that shovel screen? Why didn't they call more screens? (No, not the flanker bubble screen) like a slip screen to Speedy. Why so few rolls? Why were we ALWAYS in the shotgun? Cody was a stationary target, and the line was getting run over.

Ugly: We are too young to get too cute and out-scheme people, and we are a class or two away from having the talent not to need too. But I still think that we'll be competing for the BCS in 2010.
