1 game people. 1 game at a time. We can do this.. And by this i mean become a powerhouse and be once again respected.

I want to tell you about simplicity.

Many of the same people who are advocating we run more, and run plays out of the I and use scott are the same people who are against bringing in Ballenger.

If you put two and two together, you see the contradiction in holding both viewpoints since both viewpoints actually compliment each other. If we run more of the I formation, then cody is not needed as much, and then we can groom Ballenger to become the next big thing.

Ballenger has enough mobility and armstrength to actually one day make this hyperspread offense work.

What needs to be realized here, is that Cody runing this offense is useless. We can only do one thing..

And that is nickel and dime, and run speedy out of the shotgun with cody. Two areas of the game that allow the opposing d's to ignore are the middle to deep area of the passing zone, and the outer edges of the running lanes.

Simplifying the playbook allows you to put your best talent out on the field more often, like Darrel Scott.

Simplifying the playbook also allows Ballenger to quickly adjust and learn the offense if he runs it in real time.

So i want to see three things done.

1. Simplify the offense

2. Run Scott out of the I and big TE formations.

3. Put ballenger undercenter.

This year is a rebuilding year. We need to work on the future.

Now whose with me?

I believe we will see better results, if we do these things.

12 games, people. All at once. 720 minutes of hardcore college football action crammed into a single one hour block. Give the ball to Scott and Ballenger, and see if the 132 guys lined up on defense can stop us. That's what I call football the way it's meant to be played.

We can do this. Who's with me?

At this point we need a gimmick offense to get around our oline situation. Do you really think we can line it up and run it straight at people with our current oline? I don't. Did you see what happened when we tried that today?

Every play should be a hook and lateral. Think about it, you always see it used at the end of the game when teams need to win, and when you need to win you use your best play. Why not use your best play every play instead. Genius.

It's hard to tell the resident knuckledragger is applying sarcasm in this case.

Thank's for agreeing with my point. I knew you'd see it my way that gimmicky plays will not work in the big 12.

Outside of a succesful bowl where gimmicks worked, running it on your conference opponents year after year kind of loses its surprise element.

I didn't see Colorado lineup and run straight at UT yesterday. It probably would not have been incredibly successful. Of course, if we had started lining up and running straight at people starting with the first game of the season, things might be different today.

At this point I have my sincere doubts that this coaching staff knows how to develop and utilize a powerful rushing attack.

2. Run Scott out of the I and big TE formations.

Completely agree, however, he seems to be very fragile. Now an ankle is appears...

Would sitting your future star out of practice and a game to let him heal be such a bad thing?

I want to see him play as much as the next guy, but why jeopardize the kid's future with risking all these injuries?

WHen boise ran a succesful gimmicky offense, those players were mostly SR's and JR's.

You can't make a young team run gimmick plays and expect them to make them gel when they as a unit haven't gelled yet.

THe boise majic won't get it done this year because of two things.

1. Youth

2. It's the Big 12. after one game they will all adapt to us.

I don't get it folks, last year the way we beat oklahoma was through the pro, pounding the ball, and having cody bootleg pass.

Running out of the shotgun doesn't make sense.

I'll give iggy the benefit of the doubt and say he just "outsarcasticked" The Monk.

10000000000 seconds.

1288399123 minutes. It's called LIFE. every second every minute requires acutal thought and innovation. But i'm a failure at it. I will shut up and finish my KFC bowl while i drown in my own feces and tears.

We can do this. Who's with me?

you sent me a rep message saying you were only kidding right Ralphie...

It's funny how you owned yourself by backtracking.

Plus, don't send me PM's i dont have a software program to translate Tardatic language.

How awkward for the rest of us.

Maybe he can. But he won't until the OLine decides to start blocking for whoever is back there.

True, but who has the tools to handle the plays when the pocket does collapse? I would venture to guess Ballenger can make something out of nothing more than Cody can. There will be the some hiccups but no worse than Cody's performance thus far this season.

I think a great deal of people agree. The fans think there is a QB controversy whether anyone wants to believe one exists. Until we see how Ballenger performs under pressure in an actual game with some considerable playing time fans are going to wonder if the backups are better or worse.

Now, we're not the headcoach, but DH is a smart guy and he knows the fanbase is wondering. It will be his decision ultimately, and the supporters will either agree or disagree with him. Hopefully the team can win some good games and show the rest of us that it is still heading in the right direction.

recruiting well does help, but what you do with talent is just as important.

Agreed, but also I noticed a few plays where there was quick pressure on Cody and he leaned back to get the ball out of his hand in time without getting hit, which led to an underthrown ball. I'm not saying Ballenger would do this, but a bigger quarterback would normally be more comfortable standing in and taking the hit if it means they get the ball there.

We start ballenger because we're probably will only get to go to a toilet bowl this year if lucky with our depleted line.

Our Oline being weak makes cody have to use his legs and feild vision which is limited.

Get it over with and start ballenger.

I mean the 2nd string scrubs for UT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> EWU.

nuff said.

That's too predictable. Move R. Stewart to the OL and make every play be a fumblerooskie.
