CU-KSU on the tube
CU officials announced the Oct. 18 home game with Kansas State will be televised on Fox Sports Rocky Mountain and will begin at 5 p.m.
Officials said they received permission from the Big 12 Conference to negotiate a deal to televise the game outside the normal conference television assignments. More than 50,000 tickets have been sold for the KSU game.
ANOTHER night game? Come on guys, its getting cold!

LOVE night games in the cold! End of October...1991 maybe? 19 to 19 tie with nebraska featuring a two-point return by Greg Biekert off of a blocked extra-point attempt. The second blocked kick secured the tie at the end of the game. SO COLD!!! So awesome...probably my favorite game that I attended in Folsom. NOT for the weak of spirit.

Furthermore, the more televised games the better, especially when you live in Brussels. Still working on the pesky slingbox. Ef.

It won't be too cold then. A few years ago it seemed like every game was a night game.

I am very happy that its televised. I just love late afternoon games.

I agree. I enjoy seeing the Buffs play and then going home and catching the evening game on TV. If the Buffs are a night game, then I've spent the better part of the day at the tailgate. And that's good, but I don't get to see as much football that way.

That was a cold ass game. KSU in '96 was cold too, and Nebraska last year.

pussy.

:smile2:

:iagree:

that '91 fusker game was the coldest game I've ever been to. I think its the only 0/subzero game I've ever been to. Gametime it was 0 with a windchill of -7.

I hate to admit this but I had to leave that game in 91 when I couldn't feel anything below the knees.

I think it was the 1999 ISU, that game was cold becasue no one was there, at least in 1991 kNU game there was a full stadium.

My wife, our freind and her boyfriend finally begged to go back to the apartment and watch the rest at half time after our butts literally froze to the seats.

1996 and it was cold as a witches tittie in a brass bra

I missed that game. I had the flu so bad and I remember literally crawling from my bed to the living room to watch on tv, and thinking I was so lucky not to be there with my lips frozen to my horn! (the one and only time I was happy to miss a game)

It was a hell of a challenge to stand on the bleachers during that game due to the mound of ice that was on top of them.

That is definitely coldest game that I have EVER attended.

...and yes....the stadium was still packed.

I was in the stadium earlier that day, for some reason, and remember seeing the legend, "**** Nebraska" stomped into the snowy bleachers of Folsom Field in giant, (25 foot?) letters. Good times, good times.

That was 2000, HUGE snowstorm that day. I remember I came back into Boulder from... uh, another town, that morning at about 10am after not sleeping a single minute the night before. I'd never seen Boulder covered in snow before, and that was the first time I'd ever driven into boulder on 119 instead of 36. I had never been so completely and utterly confused in all of my life.

Long story short: that was the only game in the past 8 years that I've ever slept through. Thankfully I didn't do so in the bleachers, though that would have been a pretty sweet eulogy story.

that ISU game was really cold. I, too, actually left at halftime with my buddy. he lived in the CU family housing just down the hill from Folsom and i drank a lot of his tequila. it's weak sauce to leave but it was only a 5 minutes walk (and tequila).
