Goree playing guard

I hope this is a temporary for this year only cuz we need him badly to help replace Hypolite and Nicolas next year

I sure wish we still had Kai Maiava.

When he left most on the board here looked at our roster and said "We'll be fine. I'm comfortable with where our Oline is." (me included). I guess this is a lesson for all of us, you never want to lose an Olineman, even an undersized one, especially if he has game experience.

Lets all take a deep breath here. These are young men, who are away from home for the first time. No need to get personal.

It looks like Goree has been impressing...He could play as early as Saturday:wow: Talk about throwing him into the fire less than a week into his new position. Who knows what it says about Goree but what does it say about Adkins and Daniels who would be passed up by him already?

I think quotes like these pretty much sum up what the coaches think of Adkins & Daniels....which is sad, I always thought Daniels could have got a lot of help from his brother and one day been pretty solid

Unsatisfied with the current group of guards on the offensive line, coaches decided this week to move the redshirt freshman defensive tackle to the other side of the ball to see what he could do

because he is stronger and more athletic than any of their other options.

maybe adkins and daniels can play d tackle - alot less thinking and alot more bull rushing

Daniels and Adkins both are not strong enough to play yet. In time they will be. They both gained 20+ pounds last year to get to the minimum playing weight you would want of an offensive lineman. In another year or two they will have enough weight and hopefully strength to be solid players. Neither of them bench over 360 yet and that hurts when DTs like Roy Miller bench over 500.
