I'm serious! The get to the hole and stop. I understand the line is young, but geeze!
Scott has what 2 carries? Give him the damn ball.
Scott ran soft too! Go Speedy!
I would bet if Scott had 15-20 carries people would see why he was so highly recruited. Speedy has one gear...it is a high gear, but he is a one trick pony. I don't know what Scott has, but you would have to imagine it is pretty special if given a chance to get into a groove.
DH needs to give DS the ball or give a legitimate reason as to why he refuses to do so.
If DS transfers it will be an enormous blow to this football program, probably set us back a couple of years.
I don't care about cliches or BS or practice or spread offenses with horrible passing games (lol?) Give the ball to your most talented player at least 15 times a game bare minimum. If he's hurt, sit him down. If he's healthy, give him the damn ball. This isn't rocket science.
Look at the history of #1 rb recruits recently. You see names like AP, stewart at ou, reggie bush, noel devine, joe mcknight, etc. Guess what? They are all great players.
Give scott the ball and give him a chance to elevate this program. Enough with the BS.
Scott in the backfield and Speedy in the slot would give DCs headaches. Speedy is freaking fast and has good hands. He excels in open space, but he can line up and run it down your throat. We need to have our top RBs on just about every play. The misdirection would help out the team and would really open the field for Cody.
I like what what said earlier as well, if you can't show your guys how to run block then we are going to have severe problems not only this year, but in the years to come.
And Josh....You should be putting your best players on the field, and Speedy and DS both fall into that category.
Cody Crawford on the field over Josh Smith? I don't get it....You should be putting your best players on the field, and Speedy and DS both fall into that category.
