I'm dissapointed, I must eat crow

Once again, I get dissapointed in my buffs. Once again, I really viewed the game with black and old glasses. Once again, like many times since 1997, I have come away dissapointed.

Cody can not lead this team, the defense looked like they didn't care today. They let a gimp QB catch passes at will today, they let a little white RB run all over us. They showed no emotion and I am starting to lean towards the views that the pessimists see. I need to go into games with less expectations, because this team is not as good as I thought. Now, I am not one to use excuses, but I think this team would be better if we didn't have the bad luck with the injury bug this year. That has killed us the most IMO, but losses are losses and just like that we have gone from 3-0 to 3-3. Hopefully we can improve to 4-3 next week, but I am much more careful about going into the game on what I think.

I was born a buff, I have always been a buff, and I will always be a buff. Who knows, we beat KSU and I might be saying we have a chance vs. Mizzou:lol:, it's just in my blood. I am a die hard buff who hates to see us lose and hates to talk negative about the buffs. But I am tired of mediocrity.

You don't have to eat crow when you pick the buffs. Only when you pick against the buffs.

Hang in there. We all knew that there'd be plenty of rough spots this year even before we got hit so hard by the injury bug. This team just needs to circle the wagons.

But the wagon wheels are coming off.

I've been wondering since the end of the game, would anyone take a flyer on which offense would put up more points? CU 2006 with Bernard Jackson or CU 2008 with Cody and company.
I'll tell you this: I'd sure like to have Bjax around now (preferably sans legal troubles), I think the offense would be a lot more dynamic.

ah hell, leash, we ain't dead yet. it is just a fleshwound. there are still 6 games left. our Buffs can still make a bowl. they can still beat the fuskers. these are good things.

with what has transpired this year in terms of player losses is just one of those things. we aren't deep enough to take these player losses. so, we have to dance with the ones we've got.

it will be an up and down year.

Today's game did look quite a lot like a 2006 game. Hang with a team until the end when our defense tires out because they have been on the field the whole game with no hope of any offensive production. Then lose.
